The room was clean and comfy, a bit outdated, but great for its price. The hotel surroundings on the street is a bit noizy, but at room not much to hear. Dirty pool did not looked atractive for swimm and breakfast became worse than was before. Bed sheets looked grey and rough. Coming here since 2019, so far worst exspirience so far, hope for improvement. Recommend to stay while you on particular budget.

location of hotel is good, breakfast was ok with almost no options for vegetarians. they do provide eggs of choice but for that you have to buy breakfast separately, the continental breakfast that was added with booking was misleading as it covers just some cold breakfast items and at the property they ask you if you want hot breakfast you need to pay separately.

I stayed in Merida for 9 days and it was a perfect base for exploring the Yucatan and has plenty of its own sights in the city to enjoy. It's a completely safe city, even for solo travelers. I never felt the least bit unsafe in any neighborhood even at night. Lots of great restaurants, museums, architecture, and culture, especially music and dance. It's a good base for taking day trips to nearby cities like Valladolid or Izamal, or the many Mayan archaological sites and cenotes for swimming. There is bus service in the city, but walking is by far the easiest and most enjoyable way to explore the city.

Lots to do, easy to walk around, great food and shopping, tours to Mayan ruins and Cenotes - which are fantastic! People are friendly. It was warm in Dec; I bet Jan and Feb would be great, but wouldn't be able to come in the summer! Beach is 45 min away. Very safe city.

Merida is just and extraordinary place to visit.
Merida is just and extraordinary place to visit. This is our fifth visit and always find something new to do. The Dia de los Muertos weekend is just amazing. This year was great, music, joy, nice people and a lot of different activities to do. I do recommend renting a car in order to visit other places that are closer but it is better to do it on your own. Food in merida is great and every night there is some free cultural event going on. I will visit again and again and recommend to stay there at least a whole week or 10 days. Stay in the centro where the action is.

We stayed on Calle 60 in Merida Centro. 5 nights. So much to do along this stretch: shopping, eating, drinking, entertainment...
Walked the area at all hours of the day and night. Never felt any concerns.
Easy day excursions to Uxmul Archaeological Zone (more dynamic Mayan zone than Chichen Itsa), Hacienda Yaxcopoil, Mali (great traditional food at El Principe Tutul Xiu), Izamal.
Time was spent with friends and family as traveled to Merida for a wedding.
4.5 hour bus ride from Cancun international airport. Train is an option, as is a rental van and driver. (Booked with daytrip.com for van from Merida to Cancun airport with a stop in Izamal.)

Merida is a lovely town!
Merida is a lovely town! I enjoyed the variety of activities -- you can take daytrips out to see the Mayan ruins and swim in the cenotes. You can walk around Spanish churches and shop. The markets are so much fun, and there's lots of shopping.
The locals I encountered were all very friendly and patient with us. The only downside was constantly being asked to buy things.

I love Merida. The people are courteous, the food is great.
I love Merida. The people are courteous, the food is great. It's a beautiful city with much to do. We visited the Plaza. My kids enjoyed the ice skating rink. We ate at different cafés and we also ate at the food court. The tacos there was superb. We moved around in taxis, which was relatively affordable. Never mind the first taxi we caught charged us 300 pesos. ( AVG cost of taxi is about 100 pesos).

we really loved this little place, the room was large and very comfortable, the bathroom spotless, and the water pressure the best we experienced in Mexico. and the room was made up every day. Breakfast was delicious, and generous, and the pool was very welcome as it was pretty hot while we were in Mérida.
our host Juan offered helpful suggestions and advice.
By far the best hotel I've been to in Mexico (and one of the best worldwide for that matter). The staff is unbelievably generous and helpful and the entire hotel is just so comfortable and relaxing. Definitely will stay here again next time I visit Mérida.
The hotel restaurant is unforgettable 👌
The staff is highly qualified, and the chef is like an artist. Maybe even the best restaurant in all of Mexico.
By Mexican standards, the hotel is nice.))
The ceilings in the room are over 5 meters high 😵
The location and the price of this hotel was incredible. It's near the centre/everything you would need, the price is crazy for the quality of wifi/TV etc compared to many other hotels we stayed in, in Mexico.
Absolutely beautiful, huge, and comfortable rooms with very understanding and respectful hosts, particularly since we arrived in chaos and needing some help to leave Merida, and Mexico, after 10 months.
