Do not trust these two LIARS!!
The stove & overhead fan did not work properly from day one...
When I reached out to rocky & mait, they told me to consult Jose, the onsite manager across the hall from me.
He came into my room twice but was unable to fix the two problems ,,,
so I asked for a partial refund....
They responded that I would be able to offer me a
partial refund if I left the following day ,,,
I didn't want to leave as I had recently fell (badly)in the street & pulled my hamstring muscle ...But I agreed, since I am not one to cause a fuss (usually)..,,,and I checked out the next day with a promise of a refund for last two nights...
I agreed to this but the hosts never fulfilled their promise. When I called back & finally got thru to the hosts, they told me they had tried repeatedly but couldn't get thru to Booking, com.
I never have an issue getting thru...
& they were extremely rude about their broken promises ,,,and they never sent me a red penny!!
So they triggered me & got me mad 😠 😡 so I told 'em to kiss me where the sun don't shine and hung up!!
With hosts like this - who needs enemies??!!
I still think Booking.com should issue me a partial credit for all the trouble these so-called "Hosts" caused me!!
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Walter Schweigel

Caribean beaches, chilled atmosphere.
Caribean beaches, chilled atmosphere. Nice shops, good balance between local life and tourism. Easy to find cheaper and delicious restaurants where locals eat.
There is a local rule about no party Saturdays and Sundays, but you still can find life music and lots of happy hour bars. Party gets better during the week days.
Restaurants :
Picu's to eat grilled or fried fish. 1kg per 500 pesos
Veredero: authentic cuban food, delicious cocktails
Ruben's: amazing eggs Benedict with lobster. amazing huevos rancheros

This was our second visit to Isla Mujeres, and we stayed for a week each time. We love it there. Great atmosphere. Huge choice of restaurants. The island is not too big, so renting a golf cart for the day is a great way to tour around. Playa Centro and Playa Norte are two of the most beautiful beaches you will ever see. Easy ferry ride over from Cancun. Island is a great day trip from Cancun because the main downtown is right by the ferry terminal, and easily walkable.

Beautiful place to visit. Amazing beaches and sand.
Beautiful place to visit. Amazing beaches and sand. We stayed on the north end of the island where the beach was perfect and the water very shallow and clear. Punta Sur at the south end is very worth the visit as it is different terrain. Very rocky and not much sandy beach. Mostly rocks and reef and absolutely beautiful!

Loved everything about it!
Loved everything about it! The people were very friendly & respectful. I felt safe at all times. I can’t wait to go back! Quiet, beautiful place to visit.
Getting around is easy, we walked most the time but rented a golf cart one day. The bus is also an option..pay one fee and ride all day. You just have to validate your driver is going where you want to go. We are at many places. Pizza Rock was really good. I’m sorry but I forget this breakfast spot we went to every day…

We have day tripped over to Isla Mujeres several times over...
We have day tripped over to Isla Mujeres several times over the past 25 years, but never stayed overnight. We stayed for 7 nights this time. It has become, for the most part, a tourist trap. It is a small island with not a big variety of things to do. The turtle farm was closed during our visit, but we did enjoy going down to Punta Sur, that is worth your $6. It's a good place to leave from for snorkeling and diving. Things are fairly expensive there so don't expect cheap groceries or sundries there. Many places have no prices, so I suspect tourist and locals get different prices. I don't think golf cart rental is worth the money because taxis are everywhere and priced fairly.

We stayed at Casa Alkimia for a portion of our honeymoon stay on Isla Mujeres.. I would highly recommend! Very clean, tidy, and exactly as described. It exceeded all expectations and was just wonderful! I miss waking up to the sound of the waves. Andrea so kindly helped us with accommodations at their second Airbnb on the island, which is in town, just a couple blocks away from Playa Norte. Also, fantastic!!!Muchísimas gracias!!
Amazing stay at isla caracol, super friendly staff , is 5 min walk from Port and 5 min to the beach anything you need is next to you restaurants, super market etc. The rooms are very clean and cozy. Garden and pool area is amazing to chill for a beer . Tottaly recommend the hotel and isla mujeres is the best , no sargassum good people and good vibes. And the beach is a dream.
Great location (just minutes to bars, restaurants and beach) friendly staff, a good book swap! The best thing was being able to take the beach chairs for free!! (and beach towels included), it is now quite expensive to rent chairs on the beach, 600 pesos, so taking the ones from the hotel saved us a lot money). I think this is the only hotel that provides this service.
The position of the hotel right on to the North beach was simply amazing.
The hotel was only a very short safe walk to the Main Street for bars and restaurants.
