It is a good option for traveling between Central Mexico and Texas - or other points in the U.S. It is less hectic than Monterrey, but still has all the food and hotel options you would want. The scenery around the city is also beautiful, and there are fewer big rig trucks driving through that part of Tamaulipas.

A superb no frills hotel….no pool, etc. Yet the hotel does Best what a Hotel is designed to do - Safe, secure, comfortable lodging for a weary traveler. The Hotele was very clean, the bed/pillows very comfortable, the room/bathroom-perfecto. The desayuno was homemade and filling. The Staff - Welcoming/Warm/Professional.
This was a lovely, very clean hotel in a good location. The beds were very comfortable and breakfast was plentiful, with many options. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful. There is a pool and a fitness room, but we did not use them. If there had been a mini fridge in the room, it would have been perfect.
