We were greeted at check in by a delightful team interested in where we were coming from and why we were there. Seems Orizaba does not receive many white haired retirees. We were flattered by their attention, and they settled us in quickly (including a young man jogging after my husband to show where to park the car a block up the street).
The location was perfect, a short walk to centro. We ate lunch at a terrace restaurant 10 minutes away, La Borda, and had a view over the historic churches.
The room was small, but clean and quiet, even though we faced a busy street. The bed and pillows were comfortable.
The breakfast, freshly made for us, was just the right start to our day.
