The Posada de la Aldea is most definitely not a 4 star hotel. It has seen its best days. It is clean, and well located, and staff is friendly. Breakfast doesn't start until 8 am and the best they can do until the restaurant opens is powdered coffee. It can get chilly at night, there is no heating. The pool was closed for repairs (no mention of this on the Booking site) and the gym is cramped, a bit sleazy and not open on Sundays. There are many many other beautiful places to stay in San Miguel de Allende. I would not stay here again.

Very good location. The room was clean with a nice comfortable bed. Breakfast was made fresh to order with a good selection and was delicious.
The pool was lovely and heated nicely on the cooler days (we stay during winter and the mornings were chilly)
The staff were always available to help.
