We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The location itself is delightful, providing perfect relaxation and exploration possibilities. The staff was very friendly and ensured that we felt welcome and cared for. The food quality was good, with a wide variety of dishes that catered to all tastes. The hotel also offered numerous activities that are perfect for families. Finally, the transfer service to and from Velana International Airport was punctual and efficient, making the journey seamless and stress-free.

We stayed for 6 nights at the ocean villas part of the resort. To start with, this is our 10th visit to the Maldives and this is our 8th resort to try.
Positives:
- The details of the deluxe in ocean infinity pool villa is very nice and the double story villa gives an amazing view of the ocean and more amenities to enjoy.
- Food was very good across all outlets and room service as well.
- Sea life is amazing, reef is everywhere and you could easily interact with sea life in a very amazing way.
- Snorkeling is is just amazing
- SPA was okay
Negatives:
I can summarize our experience in three areas: privacy, transportation and quality of service.
- Pools across all water villas are not private at all. From your pool you could literally see all pools around you, however this remains to be subjective from a person to another.
- Staying at the ocean villas means you can only go to the main resort by ferry boat. Which is scheduled (see the picture below). It is exactly like you’re are moving via public transport system from a resort to another. Even the timing are not scheduled with constant gaps, for example sometimes the next ferry could be after 30 minutes, 45, 60, or even one hour and 45 minutes. Simply they dictate your timing and you have to adjust your activities to fit their schedule rather than the opposite. I had a big talk with the management on my second day and Mr. Amjad the front desk manager was kind enough to instruct his team for flexibility with us. However this remained to be a big concern for most of the guests we interacted with.
- Housekeeping is very poor, it is normal to be missed or delayed in the cleaning. Our first day lunch was on the second floor terrace for two days and the housekeeping staff did not clear it, apparently he did not bother himself to check and housekeeping the second floor
- The management is running the property under extreme cost efficiency manner where you as guest clearly feel it.
Facing the beachfront, Baglioni Resort Maldives - Luxury All Inclusive offers 5-star accommodations in Dhaalu Atoll and features a garden, private beach area and terrace.
The only resort in Maldive's Faafu Atoll, Filitheyo Island Resort is surrounded by tropical greenery and beautiful coral reefs. It has an outdoor infinity pool, pampering spa and on-site dive center.

We had a beautiful welcome msg in the bed for our anniversary and a beautiful candle lit 4 course dinner set up by the beach, staff went over their way to make things very special for us (Dinusha a Srilankan by national was an exceptional staff) with great customer service, he knew exactly what to do to make us feel extra special , went out of his way to make things beautiful for us, food was awesome in every aspect, presentation, taste, quantity and so forth all prepped by an amazing Srilankan chef.
Definitely will recommend this place to all of our friends and family travelling to the maldives ❤️

Resort on the edge of a garbage dump for 225 euros per night
Resort on the edge of a garbage dump for 225 euros per night
The island measures 300 by 900 meters.
The hotel is located on a polluted ocean shallow, immediately to the left of the hotel there is an ever-burning garbage dump spewing clouds of poisonous smoke, an airfield is being built to the right. On a private beach, you can fully enjoy burning plastic from a landfill to the sound of working excavators. The beach suitable for swimming is on the other side of the island, walk 900 meters through the village. You can swim there, but you will have to sunbathe under the loud sounds of pumps, concrete mixers and stone crushers, because there is also a production of building materials right on the beach, just 50 meters long, and some factory is very close. The water is sticky, fetid sewage was floating in the water twice in 10 days, very shallow, the bottom is full of glass and metal objects, if you go along the coast from this beach to the left, then there is a port behind our beach, then a beach for locals where you can’t be in swimsuit, followed by the construction of the airfield to the hotel itself, then the aforementioned landfill, then the production of building materials and the factory, then our beach. That's the whole island. In the middle is a village with 800 inhabitants. Photos and videos with sound are attached. Meals in the hotel, I would call some kind of fish diet, 13 days only fried fish with lean rice or pasta. From drinks, warm water or some kind of sweet mixture of jam with water. No desserts. A few vegetables and fruits. Breakfast was always cold, consisting of scrambled eggs and some kind of pancakes.
