White Sand Inn, hotel in Maamigili

Set in Maamigili, White Sand Inn has a garden, shared lounge, terrace, and free WiFi throughout the property.

Amazing personal experience with the sweet guys who work there. Also they are good entertainers. Never had a boring night. The owner is also a very helpful man and they all looked out for me and took good care of me, since I am a young solo female traveler. I felt very safe at White Sand Inn. I definitely recommend everyone to stay at this place when they visit Maldives.

Koimala Hotel, hotel in Maamigili

Offering a restaurant that serves a delectable spread of local and Western cuisine, Koimala Hotel is located at the center of a whale shark point 100 metres from the beach.

I absolutely enjoyed the stay at Koimala Hotel. I felt very welcomed right from the beginning. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful , making sure every detail of the stay was perfect. The room was clean and spacious. The location is good and you can easily walk to the beach in 5-10 Minutes. What really stood out was the range of activities they offer. I enjoyed the turtle snorkeling tour, the Manta Safari and the Whale Shark snorkeling , which was all great!!

Incredible hotel!! The best reception and hotel I have ever experienced in 10 months of travel, everything is perfect. Endheri Sunset Dhangethi, hotel in Maamigili

Facing the beachfront, Endheri Sunset Dhangethi offers 3-star accommodation in Dhangethi and has free bikes, garden and terrace.

Really beautiful guesthouse (more like a hotel tbh), ideally located right on the beach for amazing sunsets, and a 2 minute walk to both the bikini beach and local beach. What made our stay was Mauge and Ali, who went above and beyond what we expected. We were treated to a late evening tour to show us the beautiful glowing plankton, and they didn't just take our money for tours, we said we wanted to see Mantas, so Mauge went out of his way to come get us from the beach once they'd been spotted. Going out on their speedboat with Sandra to swim with Mantas was amazing. We usually restaurant hop, but the food was so good, we ate here all 3 nights we stayed, huge compliments to Parveyz the chef. The rooms are modern, beautifully decorated, and Alain kept them spotless. I can't recommend Endheri enough. If like us, you're debating between Dhangethi or Dhigurah, we'd choose Endheri Sunset on Dhangethi again in a heartbeat. Wonderful local island with everything you could want just a small walk away and perfect hotel with customer service beyond exceptional.

You need maximum 3 days to complete all trips, any more than that would have to be someone who loves water sports as these are the main activities in this country, anyways. Bring a mosquito or any insect repellent, you will need these after a stroll on the shores or anywhere there are plants. Also have an anti-nausea pill if you are the seasick type. Taxis have a fixed price for each location, check that out. Alcohol in the resorts is expensive but then again that's all you got. Best to pay all meals or include dinner in your package as there are almost no restaurants outside, depending on the island, and if you find one it's either a chips or coffee spots.

My favorite places were snorkeling from the pier of the Italian restaurant, and the water villas we stayed in (also good for snorkelling, but the water is very shallow). We had half-board, and were so happy with the breakfast and dinner buffets that we never opted for anything extra. Getting around in Maamigli on foot was easy for us, but I understand we could have requested golf cart transportation as well. We preferred walking. I was a little concerned beforehand whether we'd be spending a fortune on drinking water (since we didn't have all-inclusive), but drinking water was provided daily by the housekeeping, so no problem at all. Next time I'll make an even bigger effort to avoid getting sunburned. We used 50 SPF sunblock and re-applied often, but lengthy snorkeling still got some of our backs.

It’s a local island and not very beautiful. There are other options for cheap accommodations on nearby local islands that will be about the same price or a little bit more, but it is worth it. Dhigurah island is much larger and the west is uninhabited with a huge sand bar and huge bikini beach.

It was a cheaper place to hire a boat ride to swim with whale Sharks. The food is limited on Mamagilli and the service is slow. Also, all restaurants people smoke at the tables which was not nice especially for young children. There is only one small section of beach for tourists, the rest of the beaches are full of rubbish. You don't feel very welcomed on Mamagilli we much more preferred staying on one of the other islands that has a resort. There is also no ATM for tourists on mamagilli. Interesting experience to stay on a local island.

We had a fantastic one week stay at Holiday Island.

We had a fantastic one week stay at Holiday Island. All the staff were very helpful, smiling and always ready for our needs and wishes. The view from the bungalow was just like from a postcard. The whole island is continuously kept in an amazingly clean and neat condition. I can highly recommend to book it with full board meal plan. All breakfast, lunch and dinner were abundant. There is always many options to choose from. Unless you are on a very special diet your tummy will be full and happy. :D

Wanna say many thanks to Dravida & Koimala hotels for our wonderful vacation! Our stay was comfortable and the atmosphere was friendly & relaxing. Be sure that the staff will do their best to solve all the questions and problems: from ordering the birthday cake & making a surprise to finding the way to the airport on Friday's storm.
