I don't know where to begin in describing how incredible Hurawalhi is, if you have the chance to stay here, do it!
The property: Pristine. The facilities, walkways, beaches, everything is always clean and gorgeously maintained by the incredible staff.
The rooms: So comfortable, spacious and exceptionally clean. The bed was so comfortable and we loved how the shower connected directly to your patio so you could come straight from the ocean or pool into the shower.
Shimree was our daily housekeeper and he took care of our room so well, and left a beautiful birthday decoration and cake for my husband.
The snorkeling: The reefs are incredible. You can swim straight from your room to where the reef meets the channel so you can see an incredible diversity of sea life big and small - reef sharks, turtles, rays and so many colorful fish! If you stay in the shallows by the rooms you can still see lots of fish and fish nurseries, but the best snorkeling is along the edge where the reef drops off.
Scuba: We completed our scuba certification at Hurawalhi and it was amazing. We got to take the boat out to a different reef for each lesson, so we saw so much unique sea life! The equipment was in great shape and the whole scuba team was excellent. Thank you Jean!
Food: The food and experience at 5.8 was amazing and I highly recommend it despite the cost. We also loved the food at Kashibo and highly recommend going all-inclusive so you can enjoy any restaurant at any time without thinking about the price. Canneli was also great food, but we prefer a sit-down meal over buffet which was most nights at Canneli. The poolside bar and JFK had great lunches and cocktails!
Staff: Everyone was so friendly and helpful! Yum was our host and was always so kind. Everyone at the Coco bar was so helpful and fun! We looked forward to hanging out at our spot by the pool each day and seeing everyone, we miss you all every day!

Nargiz and the whole One The Island team are all so helpful, polite, kind and warm people. Thank you for all you have done for us.
The room is nice and lovely. All facilities are very clean and well maintained. Interior is sweet, and there is a big beautiful table on the 1st floor where you can spend some time if you don't want to sit in the room.
They offer continental or maldivean breakfast, it is homemade and very delicious.
Nargiz also helped us to arrange all transfers and our diving tour, although the latter we cancelled because of our private issues (not related to the hotel).

We loved the island and the staff! It’s a perfect size for a small resort which makes you feel like you’re family. The island itself is beautiful with lots of wildlife and beautiful greenery. The staff are amazing!! Everyone was so friendly, the waitstaff are very helpful and accommodating. And our host for our stay was always willing to help, make sure we were happy and to arrange everything for us smoothly - we loved Diksha! We had an electrical issue with our villa and they were so quick to fix it and then surprise us with a gift for the inconvenience. The views from our villa were stunning and we loved watching the fish swim by and play in the light off the dock at night. The food was also delicious! I loved the. Story at the buffet and the food at Raakani and Teppanyaki was delicious. We did all-inclusive and I highly recommend! We loved that it included so many drink, food and activities. We had a 50-min couples massage included, delicious drinks, great set menu options at the specialty restaurants, and even an excursion! Totally worth it in our opinion! Everything about our stay was wonderful and dreamy! 🤩 we highly recommend!

Komandoo is a small resort with only 65 rooms. Most guests are repeat visitors, with some having been coming back for over 10 years. Like a lot of the guests, we have tried other Maldivian island resorts, and have come to the same conclusion - Komandoo is a quiet, friendly resort with excellent food. The star of the resort is most definitely the staff. Without exception they are helpful, friendly, and with a maximum of 130 guests, they quickly get to know you. Seeing repeat guests arrive was like watching a family reunion.
The villas and facilities are basic - not the latest flashy trends with private pools and the like, but solid and comfortable.

The Champions are lovely and took really good care of us. It is the perfect place to just relax and do chill, and when we wanted activities they offer a variety of fun things to do.
We can't wait to go back.

I love being on an adult only island that is small and friendly. the villas are quite private with vegetation forming a natural barrier from your neighbour. it feels like your own private beach in front of your villa. We always have a sun rise side villa to watch the sun come up each morning.
This was our 9th visit to Komandoo!

A beautiful quiet small island with plenty of privacy and very peaceful as adults only .. able to swim to house reef and snorkelling was easy .. had free sunset cruise and saw dolphins .. did the turtle tour and snorkelled with large turtles .. restaurant food was great and there was always a good variety of food choices
Definitely would recommend Komandoo for a romantic peaceful holiday

Beautiful island, they have an amazing reef, they offer many activities to enjoy your time in the island. The food is delicious they have different options every day. The island is very private and calm. We swam with turtles and baby sharks just right next to the hotel beaches. It was awesome!

Exceptional place. Super friendly staff. Even though our flight arrived early staff at the lounge helped us to catch an early seaplane to the resort that saved us some time.
Special mentions to friendly staff like Wahab(from the restaurant), Saam(from reception), Vinod(from the bar). After initial disappointment because of the activities, these people turned the picture for us.
Criticism:
This is our second trip to the resort and we still love the location. Our first visit so memorable and we have done so many activities. we have planned our second trip to this resort assuming that we will have a similar experience. However, it was a little disappointing.
I had to struggle to book activities through the app. By the time I have reached the resort all the activities were already booked and there were literally no slots available for any activity. If not for Saam(friendly person at the help desk) we would have returned from the resort with zero activities done. I strongly believe this is something the resort should address to have repeaters. Not a helpful feeling after so much effort was put into the planning by us and we were able to do only a very few activities because of very limited slots. This is the only area where we felt a bit disappointed with the resort.
I went to other spas in other resorts too but this one gave us a dull feeling as it was not on the beach like other resorts. The service at the spa was good thou.
