Having traveled extensively across the Maldives, I can confidently say that Bageecha Stay is the best guesthouse I have ever experienced. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this was more than just a place to stay—it felt like home, thanks to the incredible hospitality and warm atmosphere created by the host, Ismael, and his exceptional team.
Ismael went above and beyond to ensure every aspect of my visit was perfect. His attention to detail, deep knowledge of the island, and genuine care for his guests made my stay unforgettable. Whether organizing activities or sharing insights about local life, his passion for hospitality truly shone through.
Every meal was a masterpiece, combining fresh local ingredients with remarkable skill and creativity. From mouthwatering Maldivian delicacies to innovative international dishes, each bite was a treat. I can honestly say it was some of the best food I’ve had in the Maldives, and I looked forward to every meal during my stay.
The guesthouse itself was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, offering a perfect balance of modern amenities and local charm. Its location on Dharavandhoo is ideal for exploring the stunning beauty of Baa Atoll, from its pristine beaches to the incredible underwater world of Hanifaru Bay.
Bageecha Stay is a shining example of what guesthouses in the Maldives should strive to be. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic, warm, and unforgettable Maldivian experience. Thank you, Ismael and Seneca, for making my stay so special—I can’t wait to return!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are really nice and the staff are so helpful. The food was great and varied, buffet style with plenty of choice.
Free tea and coffee all day long if you want it as well as fresh water.
The beach is lovely and the house reef has very good snorkelling with masses of fish life including rays and moray eels…. even black tip ref sharks occasionally.
Dharavandhoo island is small and quaint but there is not much to see outside of the resort area.
However the scuba diving is fantastic with Dharavandhoo Divers - thanks Jesse and Faari for two days of great diving - some of the best I have experienced.
In summary - you Di not need to visit a $1000 a day resort island to enjoy the Maldives. With a direct 30 minute flight from Male straight into Dharavandhoo airport, combined with a stay at LVIS Blsncura, you can’t go wrong.

Beautiful and peaceful spot which is very well cared for place by the family who runs it. My baggage didn't arrive with me and they were exceptionally helpful in getting it sorted for me, by calling the airline and tracking it down. They were always very responsive and helpful.
I arrived on my birthday and they prepared a couple of little birthday treats for me which was much appreciated.
The meals are served in the lush garden. Everything is prepared with great care and the wait staff are gentle and welcoming.
Overall it was a little slice of the luxury Maldives experience, without the high ticket prices of the Maldives.

Staff were very kind and helpful. It’s good value for staying. They arrange speed ferry from Male and pick up and drop off to the ferry terminal. When I go diving, one the male staff came to me to carry my diving material and very kind. They always care about me if I am comfortable or not. Very good service.

Review of Our Stay at Athirige in Dharavandhoo, Maldives
I recently spent 20 days in Dharavandhoo, Maldives, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, Mohamad and Nadun went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They picked us up at the airport and drove us to the accommodation, where we were greeted with cold towels and a perfectly prepared room.
Without a doubt, the highlight of our stay was the exceptional service provided by these two wonderful individuals. They were always available to assist with anything we needed, making our stay effortless and enjoyable.
A special mention goes to the breakfasts prepared daily by Nadun. Each morning, we were treated to a generous spread that included eggs, sausages, toast, coffee, and either fresh fruit or juice. Every day, he added small variations to keep it fresh and exciting.
What truly set this experience apart was their genuine kindness and thoughtfulness. On my birthday, they surprised me with a cake, a heartfelt gesture they covered out of their own pocket. It was such a touching moment that I’ll never forget.
I would return to this accommodation just for the incredible staff. Mohamad and Nadun made me feel right at home, and for that, I will always be grateful.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a personalized, heartfelt experience in the Maldives!

Blue World Dharavandhoo is a wonderful place to stay:
The room with bathroom was huge (3 pax), the marine decoration is super cute, both in the rooms and common areas which are also super nice and allow interaction with other guests.
We took half board: breakfast and dinner were yummy and varied every day!
Bonus points for the free bikes to move around the island!
But what makes this place an exceptional accommodation is the staff: We really appreciate how helpful was Kat (reception) even before our arrival and of course during the days there.
The room boys and kitchen team were also wonderful, attentive and caring.
Diving team were all great: Fasial, Bags, Api and the crew members did from our dives and snorkels an even more memorable trip! Thank you guys!

Expected Dharavandoo just to be a transit island with it's airport traveling to a resort nearby. We had chosen to spend a few days in the Biosphere guesthouse. The charming guesthouse itself, the wonderfull staff and the range of activities made us extend our stay with a few days. It's the perfect startingpoint for alot of affordeable (water) activities and also the island has alot to offer (inc nice beaches, snorkling spot's, sports- and playgrounds, restaurant (Krill is recomended!),... We spent new year's eve where the islands council arranges a memorable big party for tourists and residents.

Amazing stay for one day after diving livaboard trip.
Amazing stay for one day after diving livaboard trip. Walking around was really relaxing as this island is QUIET! Personal highlights were playing volleyball with the locals (free court with lights, started at 9 and we went on until midnight!). Also Coral Boutique is a must visit - blue whale bones, and owner is super interesting to talk to! Don't leave the island without visiting the store! DFC for food is a must.

The manta snokelling trip in Hanifaru bay was stunning - seeing ~20 giant manta rays, the sensation is just difficult to describe in words! And the sunset fishing trip was also beyond expectation - we caught amost 20 fishes and the guesthouse helped cook the catch without surcharge.

The island is very small and you can walk it, in flip-flops, rather slowly from one end to another in about 15 minutes. It is very quiet, full of wonderful beaches, seemed safe and the grocery store was easily reachable as well.

Dharavandhoo is a very laid back locals island.
Dharavandhoo is a very laid back locals island. There is not much to do other than diving and beach time, both of which were truly wonderful. The island does not allow alcohol, and females should respect the Muslim culture and cover shoulders and thighs, and swim at the "bikini beach." A bicycle is all that is needed to get around the island, Keep in mind that there are few cafes and shops, so be prepared for diving, sun and relaxation. Airport provides convenient transfers to Male,

Small and quiet island occupied in its half by an airport and on the other half by the locals and a few guesthouses. Perfect place to relax and forget all the rest. Not much to see on the island. Few souvenir shops and one restaurant near the airport. Some excursions are organized by the guesthouses. Very quiet place. Friendly people, lovely beach and dolphins strolling by. I recommend Honney Bunny restaurant next to the airport. Dharavandhoo is not a place to stay for too long if you prefer busy environments.
