We loved this hotel--there were two beautiful pools, although it was too cold to use them! And a beautiful view from our private terrace! All the staff were really friendly and helpful!

Xagħra is a lovely village with a cozy vibe, perfect for wandering around. The main square is great for grabbing a coffee or a meal at one of the local spots. The area is laid-back, with beautiful views and a friendly, local feel that makes it a nice spot to relax and explore.

Xaghra is one of the largest towns in Gozo.
Xaghra is one of the largest towns in Gozo. Ggantija temples is maybe the best attraction, but the piazza is also excellent place to visit for relaxing evenings. Gozo is small, but ideally you have a car. Xaghra also makes an excellent basepoint for Gozo.

73 In the Square does a mean Aperol Spritz which is lovely in the evening. Coronation Bar just next door has a wide variety of decent food and the local by the glass Maltese wine was pretty good too!
Whilst there are bus services on Gozo for getting around they are not frequent (hourly or every 1.5 hrs) but luckily for me my accommodation was on the Victoria side of Xaghra so I had no issues walking to/from Victoria to the bus terminal. Mind you it's not a route I would in the evening when it's dark as there are minimal footpaths and a very twisty road.
The windmill is interesting enough as are the temples but to be honest I mainly used Xaghra as a dinner and sleeping spot and then tried to visit other parts of the island during the day.
For any pizza fans or anyone who want to try a Maltese Ftira then I strongly recommend Tal-Latini!

Lovely village!
Lovely village! When I go to Gozo, I always lean towards booking an accommodation in Xaghra as it is quite central and pretty much close to everywhere.
However, do note that there is an extremely steep road with multiple bends to get to the village. If you are planning to travel around Gozo by foot make sure to consider this and if you are renting a car, make sure you are experienced in driving enough.

Xaghra was a larger village than I’d expected.
Xaghra was a larger village than I’d expected. Plenty of cafes, shops, restaurants, and various attractions.
I’m fascinated by ancient sites. So Ggantija temple was my main reason for staying nearby, and this didn’t disappoint, with really useful Visitor Centre, helpful guides & loads of information.
Also near to a brilliant beach, Ramla Bay, and plenty of buses - e.g. hourly to Victoria, from where you can get around the whole island.

Set in a serene street in Xaghra, this lovely little hotel may have limited facilities, with only a small swimming pool and no bar/restaurant currently available. However, you can rest assured that the cleanliness is excellent, and the staff is unfailingly friendly. The only downside is the parking situation, with some neighbours resorting to unofficial 'No parking' signs on walls to protect their own parking. This is not down to the hotel or its staff but be prepared to look for parking.
Excellent location within easy reach of Xagħra square with lots of restaurants and bars. The house itself was great with all the facilities we needed. Great rooms and lots of space. Lovely pool and roof terrace. We had a brilliant time with our 9 month old daughter and would recommend it for anyone wanting something different to the usual hotels. Caroline was an excellent host and on hand to help with anything.
Everything! One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Friendly and and helpful staff, super communication, delicious breakfast with many healthy options, super clean, ideal quiet location with easy parking!
Gorgeous hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect.
We loved the pool area (and had it to ourselves most days - assume because it was still low season).
