Dario is a superb host. Very helpful and responds to queries almost immediately. I asked where the nearest supermarket was- within a minute he'd sent me a link with full directions.
Morning coffee on the balcony overlooking the harbour-no better way to start the day
Very close to bus stop with direct bus hourly to airport and more regular buses to Valletta so even a night out there is easy to do
I hope to come back and stay longer next time.

The main advantage is the excellent communication with the host and the location of the apartment! It is located a little away from the center, in a cozy, quiet place with a stunning view, 1 minute to the beach on the rocks with an easy ladder down and clear water. The bus stop is around the corner, also easy to find a parking space. Cozy comfortable and very large apartment with two bathrooms, enough of everything you need in the kitchen, good wi-fi. The availability of late night check-in and fairly late check-out compared to other offers was a significant bonus.

The apartment, which was very well appointed and spacious, has spectacular views over Marsaskala harbour area, and is ideally set up for couples' stay involving meals out at the many local restaurants, cafes and bars. Air-con in all rooms (although in Oct/Nov it wasn't needed). The bed was very comfortable and a decent size. The communal areas of the building were clean and fresh, the lift was very clean. Main bus stop within easy walking distance.

The apartment was large, clean and well-kept. It had everything we needed. It was a great place to spend time, but we usually spent the whole day exploring Malta. The stay went without any major problems. The location was good, close to shops and the beach. We recommend it ☺️

Marsaskala is a safe town but there are better locations on the island. It takes 35 min by bus 135 to get to and from the airport Luqa. Generally speaking Malta should be visited in October , November, March or April in my opinion. In July it is already a desert like - no grass, a few trees and very hot (over 32C) so the best way to rest is nearby a beach or on the boat. It takes 1 hour by bus to the city centre (Valletta). Sandy beaches are on the North(2h by bus) and green hills on the West-North part of Malta. St Julian's is for party animals.

We live on Gozo and enjoy short vacations on Malta and are regular visitors to Marsaskala. The harbor side is well endowed with a mix of good restaurants and bars. There are also ample benches for sitting to watch people and boats. We enjoy walking from the harbor to the site of the old (now deilect) Jerma Palace Hotel and the nearby historic Saint Thomas which is shortly to reopen to the public following a major restoration.

Nice place, very good to eat.
Nice place, very good to eat. But Malta in general is nearly full with buildings. So a lot of people, a lot of traffic.
Maltese people in general are quite secluded, even though everybody speaks English quite well. If you strike up a conversation with somebody in the street, you can be sure it's a foreign traveler too.

I also spent time in Valletta, Sliema and Gozo. I'm so glad I ended the trip in Marsaskala. It's a lot quieter and more comfortable the other places I stayed. It was the perfect way to wind down and enjoy the harbor, the people and the ambiance of Malta before leaving. And it's also closer to the airport!

We had a week in St Pauls Bay so our 2nd week at Marsaskala was most welcome. A quiet coastal village/small town and off of the main tourist route. Having said that, Valletta is only 20 minutes away and easily reached by bus for 2euros or a Bolt Taxi for about 12 euros. Bolt is superb service and cheaper than white taxis & Uber. We used them quite a bit in our 2 weeks when some buses were full.
Marsaxlokk 10 minutes away is well worth a visit, go on Sunday if you want heaving crowds around the market or any other day if you want to enjoy the fishing village with sme 70 fishing boats in the bay, a few market stalls and a very relaxed feel.
If you do visit on Sunday, avoid the stall selling 'Maltese' small biscuits & cakes right opposite the village square/Costa Coffee. There are lots of online warnings about him, items are unpriced but when you come to pay you will be ripped off eg. 5 euro for a 2" almond cake. He won't give you a refund if you complain.
In Marsaskala, 'Cool Waters' bar has excellent food and very reasonably priced.
Orient Market 3 is a big well stocked supermarket with good prices.

Very cute accommodation. There are not that many rooms in this hotel so feels rather intimate. Breakfast with all the simple necessities, such as bread, coffee and some pastries. I really liked the fact that there was water fountain downstairs in the reception. Close to the centre and all the other necessities.
As well as, I really liked the fact that everything happens online: the check-in and there is no need for check-out.
Overall, customer service quite helpful and quick.

The friendliness and kindness of all Staff in the hotel and rooftop pool bar. Breakfast buffet was great. Rooftop lounge was also great. We had a late flight home, and we asked for a late check- out, which was given to us. No problem at all.
A hotel located close to the town center and the means of transport. The staff was very kind OK beds, and the cleaning was done on demand, which is a good thing for me.
A hotel I recommend if you want to stay in Marsaskala.
Spacious apartment with supermarket and phamacy nearby.
The bus station is very close and there are plenty of restaurants in Marsaskala to choose from.
The host is very helpful and communicative.
