The Simon Hotel had good food, great Ned in the suite that was like an apartment, almost 800 Sq ft. The location is awesome for Fort De France. It rained a little almost every day which was great because it is so hot and humid. We hired a driver for a few hours a couple days which worked out well. He spoke French and English and had a newer van type of auto with air conditioning ( a must). We don't speak French, so Roger, our driver, was prompt and just nice.

I love the view from the balcony 😍 and the young lady who worked the morning shift has very nice ways 👌. The tall guy who comes in after her is not nice, maybe bcuz he doesn't understand Creole.

Absolutely stunning location overlooking Fort de France. Up in the mountain with beautiful breezes and gorgeous flowers and plants. Incredible birds singing constantly. Slept like a baby and so comfortable. Beautiful home and I thoroughly enjoyed talking with the owner who is fluent in French and English.

Fort de France was a very nice place to visit in Martinique.
Fort de France was a very nice place to visit in Martinique. We stayed at a nice hotel the first 2 days we were there. Unfortunately, I reserved a hotel room at Maison Clementine where the owner overcharged me by 100 euros!!! Keep away from that place.

We went to St. Anne and to St. Pierre on tours and enjoyed both. The fish market was small, and the other markets were very much like other tourist markets. We walked during the day and it was easy to get around.

Like any other cities in the world, Fort de France is crowded with cars, people, shops, restaurants. It's relatively clean I must say. Perfect for solo or couple travellers. Not if you have kids to stay in this area.

Very good public transport system.
Very good public transport system. With the addition of the new TCSP service, getting to many places of interest is quick and easy. There is a big choice of restaurants within walking distance, making eating out very easy.

We had been working long and hard for the past year and needed a quiet, no-hassle, short and quick break. Martinique was easy for us to get to. It was off-season and that was fine with us as we really didn't want to do very much. The city is clean, quiet, friendly, pretty, green, cultured and not expensive. The tourist centre was helpful. We tried to find some local art and craft, hand made things but there didn't seem to even be an art gallery. The Saturday market was interesting. We could not charge up our phones because of the power difference and we couldn't find an adapter to buy. We walked everywhere. Street food in the Savanne was just fine.
We had a nice stay in the hotel. Staff was helpful, friendly and efficient. Check-in was quick because we could do a pre check-in online. The hotel room was nice. Bed was very comfortable but there was a bit noisy air conditioning with too strong wind. It could not be stopped with a remote controller, only manually. Otherwise, everything was very good. Breakfast was delicious and we could also swim in the hotels swimming pool.
The hotel is quirky and unique. Colonial style - we had a huge room with a large balcony. The hotel needs some TLC in places. But I liked it… it was clean and comfortable . It’s a great stop over place for one to two nights. The area is known as down town. If you’re street wise you’ll be fine. Be aware of your surrounding at night if you must go out.
Very quiet, pleasant appartment in a residential area just outside of Fort-de-France. Excellent price. Clean. Good off-street parking. Conveniently located when you have a car. Central on the island, good for exploring. Great and stable WiFi. Good A/C in bedroom. Strong hot water supply in shower. Great communication with host. Would book again.
