We were working and traveling locally during weekends.
We were working and traveling locally during weekends. We had great tours with a local driver-guide who spoke good English and was very enthusiastic. He was familiar with the history of the area and took us to places off the beaten path. Good food everywhere but hard to avoid digestive problems over a 3 week stay. Four of us all came down with something over our stay. Bring appropriate meds but they are available locally and inexpensive.

I liked the tour around ogre island to learn about local...
I liked the tour around ogre island to learn about local people and villages. And also saw some nice temples. Could have stayed another day to see what else there was to see but I’m not a huge fan of cities.

What I like the most is I can see old buildings included...
What I like the most is I can see old buildings included monastery. What I don't like the most is hard to get around if you don't hire your private ride. My favorite place is Mahamuni temple. I love the food at Bangkok Restuarant by the river, it is the real Thai food like it should taste like.
