Staying with Jenela is wonderful experience and high light in our trip in Montenegro! Advices for others travellers, Stay with Jenela's house in RIjeka at least one night for the lake, much beautiful with quality time than Virpazar. Jenela is super nice and kind, very easy talk with and she gives great tips for how to visit the lake! You cannot miss her advices. She also runs the boat tour in the lake and kayak, Personally, I highly suggest you go with her remcommendation. And at least takes the amazon boat trip with Jenela, you would not regret, with high quality, safety and good services. The capitain always stops where you want to take photo and swim! Whatelse you would expect more! Also if you have time, Kayak is always amazing experience, very different view to see the lake, quiet and peaceful! We are so greatful that she offers the kayak as well. The apartment is very big an comfortable, very clean, have everythings that you need, we had a good sleep for other road trip! Perfect locations and comforting!

Beautifull place, lot of mountains and nice lake. Be carefull on people, they are trying to rob you. If you go on trip, always check what is usuall price, because people here are not hesitating to ask twice price. For me beautifull country with disgusting people. (doesn't belong to people where we lived, the Dujeva Drago resort. From them I didn't have feeling they want to rob me, they were very serious).
Very important notice!!! don't pay in advance for accomodation. I did it in arabela apartments and I become hostage.

View from the boat are as good as from a mountain - different but still stunning! Thanks to the captain Dragan, who always very nice and helpful! We reccomend a boat trip trought to Skadar Lake with him.

Rijeka Crnojevica is an amazing place...in the future the place can became a pearl of Skadar Lake....Nice restaurants, amazing views, close to Cetinje and Podgorica and excellent taxi boats to visit the lake...Perfect place.

Rijeka Crnojevica is a one (short!) street place. It is dotted by run-down old buildings abandoned and full of trash. The area where the guest house is located is in reasonably decent shape and really has 3 restaurants to choose from. A few moments drive, getting out of Rijeka Crnojevica, and you are in a fantastic land of trees and grass and water.

A dying (shabby) tiny village, but the center is nicely...
A dying (shabby) tiny village, but the center is nicely preserved, and provides all the required services - B&B, restaurants (3), and a boat trip - everything within 30 meters.
Much better boat trip then from Virpazar (we did both), since you see bothe river and lake, and visit a monastery island by foot. Take an early morning boat trip (8 o'clock) for 2.5 hours, or a later on with 30 minutes for swimming (water is cold in the morning).
You also take a Kayak.

A stay of around four days is enough to get most experiences in. If you are a budding bird watcher then this is a fantastic area, get out on the lake in a canoe. Make sure you get to know someone with local knowledge you are likely to find hidden gems.
