I recently stayed at this hotel and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel was immaculately clean, and the suite we stayed in was spacious and comfortable. A thoughtful touch was the assortment of treats placed in our suite, which added a warm welcome.
The staff were consistently friendly and professional throughout our stay. A special mention goes to Latifa, the floor manager, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Her attentiveness truly stood out.
My son was thrilled with our stay, and he mentioned it was well worth every penny. We definitely plan to return on our next visit to Morocco. Highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service and comfort.

Live up to the pace of this ancient Babel, and go the whole hog immerging yourself into its 1001 Nights atmosphere. Check out the Booking.com hotel deals in fascinating Fès and enjoy!
Commonly spelled Fez, this city was Morocco’s capital during Middle Ages. The city was originally composed of two separate settlements located along the banks of the Jawhar River. Madinat Fas was founded in 789 by Idris I, while Al-'Aliya was founded by his son Idris II. Both towns grew autonomously until the Almoravids unified them in 1070 under the name ‘Fas’. The city is still considered a beacon of the Islamic civilisation, due to its ancient ‘madrasas’ Islamic colleges.
The Old Town or ‘medina’ has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, representing one of the best preserved historic centres in the world. The famous ‘riads’ or small traditional hotels are located in the medina, which is also called Fes Al-Bali.
The city can be reached through Fès Saïss Airport, or from the airports in Casablanca and Rabat via railway or bus connection. Whether you’re looking for a luxury hotel in Fez New Town or a historic ‘riad’ in the medina, don’t miss Booking.com’s wide offering!
Fes is intense. The medina is maybe 1 square mile (depending on who you ask) with 900-1200 streets within it. You will get lost--try to enjoy it. The main streets are crowded, and people are constantly trying to sell you something. It's all friendly and polite, and if you're in the mood for the game it's great. But if you're not, it can be wearing.
I took a cooking class and ate some other local street food. My wife brought something to dye in the Dyer's Souk. These are memories I'll cherish.

Maybe it was the intense heat but Fès had a slightly dreamy atmosphere as if cut off a little from the mundane hurleyburley not just of the regular world of, say, Casablanca or Paris but also of Morocco tourism, the business of Marrakesh or Tangier. It's quieter and seems still to believe in its own ancient way. I walked from the station all the way to my Dar in the Medina, which admittedly took me 1½ hours but led me through the mellah (the former Jewish quarter) and past the royal palace and generally gave me a sense of the extent of this great city, how it's progressing and what it has lost. And then I entered the Medina and almost never left. GPS and Google Maps don't work in passageways, which grow narrower and narrower until they are tunnels burrowed through the piled together houses, and you can panic, I guess, or you can live it like a lucid dream. But stay if you can in a ryad with your own tranquil courtyard and a roof and air and light and sky and the sight of the hills beyond.

I travelled from uk to Agadir, to Fez, to Marakesh and back...
I travelled from uk to Agadir, to Fez, to Marakesh and back to the Uk in 6 days. So it is nice, ideal if all facilities and access is working. Better in groups or duos. Beware of solo travelling and wrong destination senders. I had no issue in fez, I did want to go medina but only scoped one/twentieth of it. It’s huge. Fez airport is nice too. But transport flying is bit hit and miss. Locals do not queue they cut in, women and children. There is a new city and old medina. I stayed in old medina. Some amazing artisan leather shops and sandals. The clothing is also decent and affordable. If you are a solo traveller you can download apps like ‘Glovo and inDrive’ to help you access basic needs. I would come back to fez, I would stay two nights in old medina and one night in new city. Thanks you fez. Also if you visit be aware of respecting the local culture and dressing appropriately.

It's a fantastic city.
It's a fantastic city. In August it is too hot to fully enjoy as it's uncomfortable to walk in the beautiful parks and to take in the various views of the city.
We sorted out a guide for the medina and he was excellent friendly helpful. He took us into workshops which we wouldn't have seen without him and generally saved us a lot of hassle. He quoted 200 for a 2-3 hour tour (100 each) but it was 5 hours easily so we tipped him. The people at the workshops were not hard sell either-we bought nothing from anyone on the tour and this never felt uncomfortable. Having a guide means you don't waste time orientating yourself and you don't get hassle (not that we thought Fes was a hassly place)
The city would be even more fun in cooler weather but I guess more crowded with tourists and possibly more expensive and pushy.
That's the trade-off you get with going in summer like we did!
A lovely fascinating city with incredible city walls!

Very cramped and crowded Medina with garbage often left on the roads. There are people constantly trying to scam you and tell you you’re going the wrong way just so they can get you lost and demand money. It felt relentless. Made me want to leave. Also everyone in the stores are trying to hussle tourists out of cash. All in all visit was more stress than fun. Probably my last time in Fès

Two nights in Fez, we felt it was the perfect amount of time...
Two nights in Fez, we felt it was the perfect amount of time personally. Three travelers in their late 20s-early 30s. We made SURE to hire a guide to walk us through the medina for the day, the guides know where to take you, how to navigate, and special shops to enter for better views and deals. The tannery is a MUST, what a time machine and experience (stimulating your senses is an understatement-especially your nose...). Restaurant Lahlou, NAYAR, and Sultana were 10/10 we highly recommend!
We loved the hospitality of the staff. They made us feel at home all the time. Othman made sure all our needs were met. Riad was clean, warm and beautifully decorated with superb roof terrace. Breakfast was splendid. Othman arranged a tour guide from tourism department. Abdul Razzaq showed us around the historical medina of Fes. He had detailed knowledge of the area and of Morocco. Kids enjoyed the walking tour as well as he was very engaging and informative. Overall 10 out of 10 for our experience.
Elena and Hamidi have been very welcoming and supported me with everything. The hotel was great, also the location in the Old Town is lovely, they booked me transport from the hotel and back, and they also organised an unforgettable trip in the desert for me at a very good price, where I had memorable moments, fun, and I took a lot of pictures in the middle of Sahara. When I come back to Fes, I will choose again Riad Fes Dar. I also ate homemade couscous in the hotel and I loved it.
We had a great time at Riad Fes Elite and our room was very clean and the daily breakfast was delicious and tasty.
I highly recommend this Riad for those who want to be few steps away from the old medina (via Bab Rcif)
Thanks alot for Nofal (hotel staff) for your kindness, pleasant reception and welcoming with delightful Moroccan tea and cookies. Thanks also for helping us during our visit in fes - really appreciated..
Our arrival in Fes and first days in Morocco wouldn’t have been the same without Abdoul. He received us very late at night, and called a restaurant to prepare food for us as everything was already closed at that time.
He helped us to find many places at the Medina.
The Riad is nice, and don’t miss the terrace.
The hotel is located in a tranquil area, providing a serene atmosphere that's perfect for relaxation. Despite its peaceful setting, it’s just a short distance from the old medina of Fes, allowing easy access to the city's vibrant history and culture.
