Appart Sahraoui Medina, hotel in Fès al Bali

Appart Sahraoui Medina is set in the Fes El Bali district of Fès al Bali, 200 metres from Medersa Bouanania, 400 metres from Batha Square and 1.1 km from Karaouiyne.

Beautiful property right at the main entrance to the Fes Medina. There are two generously sized bedrooms, a large kitchen and the shower is the only one I found in my two weeks in Morocco that had ample hot water for more than 1 person. There's a shared terrace. There isn't much of a view but it's nice to sit and eat outside, and there's space to hang wet clothing. It's only shared with one other apartment. The apartment is surprisingly quiet at night for the location, and feels very safe. The hosts are very pleasant.

I loved everything about the riad, starting from the midnight welcome at the medina, and cooking me a fresh meal at 12 o'clock at night.....to the amazing cultural experience at this beautiful riad! All the brothers who manage this place are such kind and lovely people, and they have made my trip extremely memorable and comfortable ❤️

Riad Dar Barae, hotel in Fès al Bali

Featuring mountain views, Riad Dar Barae provides accommodation with balcony, around 1.7 km from Royal Palace Fes.

Perfect location and staff was great! It was a pleasure staying in the big Riad. Everyday if request the host cooks you breakfast and yummy tea.. Working private shower with heat and AC units. It's tucked away off along the Medina but don't worry it's perfectly safe then inside it's traditional and beautiful.

    Booking.

Booking. Com is very hard to write a review in the system, it deleted all my long descriptions. The accommodation was wonderful and welcoming. The 15th century palace in the middle of the 9000 Fez alleyways was stunning and beautiful. The staff was exceptional and helpful and quickly became friends. Moroccan people are polite and respectful and helpful.

I was in and around Fez during Ramadan.

I was in and around Fez during Ramadan. This requires believers to give up food and drink from sunrise to sunset. That is why we, as tourists, must behave respectfully towards the natives/locals... The hustle and bustle in the Medina is normal, Friday threre is a day like Sunday for us in EU. For Medina I recommend the first visit with a guide so as not to get lost between 900 - 10,000 streets As far as I know, there have been some issues at the airport with mobile boarding tickets in the past (they were calculated for paper printing), so it may be better to fix this sooner. As far as I could see on April 12, the couple in front of me came with mobile cards (on the phone) and they kindly gave them boarding passes for free
