A night's stay is ideal, you start in the morning and can cover the whole city within a day's time, since there is not much to do (except seeing things around the city) its easily a city to do as passing activity.

The town square was very quaint.
The town square was very quaint. The host/owner at BILMOS restaurant was particularly helpful. With an already upset stomach, a bland dinner was needed and he made sure our request was understood and had the main course made for this. Our fellow traveler was also pleasantly surprised at a delicious meal that was more home cooked than what you would expect from a market square restaurant. Thanks!
Make sure you walk the streets to find the artist hand painting the different Chef views on anything from small magnets to medium prints. Sorry I don't have a street name, but in looking for this you are sure to find other neat shops.
Did not find many high pressure vendors, but if you do in Morroco and don't speak Arabic, a good phrase to use is "Non, merci", which puts you more in the French/Euro perception and they don't keep pushing.

In my opinion, it was over rated.
In my opinion, it was over rated. Chefchaouene is certainly a very nice place, but the most attractive part of it is being blue. Otherwise, there is nothing very different about it. The Old Medina is just full of the same shops with same things that you will find elsewhere in Morocco too. If you have visited Thamel/Kathmandu in Nepal, it is otherwise like that! One day and a night is more than enough. You can even take a day tour and decide not to stay over night. If you walk up to the Spanish Mosque, you can get a great view of the city, which looks really beautiful. I have visited Casablanca, Tangier, Marrakesh and Chefchaouene in Morocco, and I will rank it at the bottom which my other family members ranked it 3rd out of the 4. Unless you really really like cats, eating is a problem as all restaurants are full of cats. The roads are full of cats, cats watches and cats left over foods. You can certainly walk the entire old Medina very well in a day. If you want to take some great photos for social media, it is teh place! :)

The Blue City is definitely worth a few days' stay.
The Blue City is definitely worth a few days' stay. The medina is quieter and more navigable than some of the large cities in Morocco. Restaurants are great and the people we met were friendly. We got a local guide for a walking tour and this made the time we spent in Chefchaouen much more interesting and meaningful.

I wish we can give more than 10 stars.
From decoration to welcoming the guests, and taking care of all of our needs, including our laundry for free. This Dar is a real gem.
Would love to come and stay here again.
Highly recommended.
Nada, Mohammad and Yasin, are exceptionally good in taking care of the guests.

The town in quite unique, with blue colours everywhere.
The town in quite unique, with blue colours everywhere. Sort of perched on top of a modest mountain, with the amazing narrow alleys and passageways of the oh-so-traditional souk. We constantly got lost inside, but knew there were two safe directions: Up to the Kasaba and the open ground of restarants and coffee shops, or down to the highway around it.

This is an amazing little hotel in the middle of the madina. The room was large and clean. Staff were friendly and professional. The hotel sent a porter to the car park just outside of the Medina to meet us and help us with bags and to find the location (and they helped us back at the end of the stay). Breakfast was amazing and probably one of the best we had in Morocco. But the best was the spa. We booked the pool for a private swim and then had Hamman our attendent was friendly and it was a great experience.
Hotel sakura it a really good place to stay while in the blue city .
I’m so glad that I booked this place , Charaf the owner really took a good care of us and made sure to gives as all the info about the city and recommended us to beautiful sights in Chefchaouen and Morocco .
We booked Sahara tour from the hotel and we enjoyed it .Fez to merzouga todgha gorge and ourzazate then Marrakech .
It was fantastic experience.
Will highly recommend the place . ✌️
Top notch service from everyone involved! The room and whole hotel had a lovely Moroccan feel. We very much enjoyed the regular access to mint tea as well. Spending evenings on the terrace with some Moroccan tea was a nice way to end the day.
The location was perfect; just outside of the old madina.
This was one of 4 hotels we have stayed in during our time in Morocco and by far our favourite.
Thank you so much for a lovely stay 😊
Good hotel, I think it's a very good choice in Chefchaouen. We had the best breakfast here compared to other 5 cities in Morocco we've been. There is a rooftop with a good view. If you go by car – you can park nearby (7-10 minutes).
