In the middle of nowhere in a beautiful setting by a huge lake. I'm sure the place would be amazing in Summer, when swimming would be an option. Ina, the host, was lovely and cooked us the most delicious dinner. She kept in good contact, before our arrival, and had food ready at a time we asked and agreed on. The nearest shop in Vilce is a 5km roundtrip walk or a quick hop in the car. They had pretty much everything you could need.

Right in the centre of Dobele. The room itself was perfectly fine. However a large quantity of wet washing had been left to hang to dry in the communal area which was very off putting. We had to remind them that breakfast was included in our deal. The breakfast when provided was very disappointing and stale.

romantic manor surrounded by beautiful nature. The hostess was very friendly and considerate. The manor is very beautiful and interesting. Breakfast in the beautiful dining hall was cosy. Overall very nice and romantic experience.

Multiple activities for kids (I would say up to age 8-9) - Nature park Tervete with dwarf village, dwarf town, mushroom forest, fairytale forest (more local one), hike/climb activities for kids, miji zoo, as well net park and obstacle course in the air, butterfly house, family friendly cafe (not only french fries, but normal food near Tourist info center, wooden castle from XII century (if want to get inside, i think should be booked in advance). You can spend in Tervete 2 full days without getting bored.
Amazing camp place, guest house “Spridisi” 2 min drive from Info center (peaceful and very nice).
