I arrived late night and check-in process was smooth.
Breakfast for 10 EUR was totally ok and enough of variety.

We only stayed there as a stopover so didn't have time to fully explore the grounds. Seemed like a popular holiday place for families. Our room was clean with spacious shower. Small shared kitchen available on another floor.
There was a cafe downstairs. It had a ridiculous waiting time, BUT the potato pancakes with salmon were probably the best I have ever had! Definitely worth the wait. Salmon seemed to be salted on site, pancakes made fresh, portion size very generous and pancake to salmon ratio was impressive (lots of salmon). It was the highlight of the stay and I will remember those pancakes for a while.
Lilaste.eu is located in the quiet area by the Lake Lilastes and offers warmly decorated rooms with free Wi-Fi and oak beds. The complex offers extensive water sport facilities and a private beach.

We (one adult and two kids) were staying on the first floor of a two-story building in the middle of July 2024. It was the cheapest option in Saulkrasti - we payed 300 EUR for 4 nights (from Mon till Fri) in the middle of the high-season. The house itself is a bit on a primitive side, but it is totally OK for overnighting for three people. We did not cook food in the house (there is a tiny kitchen and a fridge) nor did not use a grill in the yard. We spent almost all days on the beach or in Riga, so that was fine for us. There are free parking places just next to the house. The location of the house is just perfect - literally 3 min walk to the beach, 10 min walk to bakery for breakfast.
Boasting a sauna, Clockhouse Cottage is set in Saulkrasti. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi.

Fantastic place in Saulkrasti! The kindest host and the house had everything for a comfortable stay in both - good and bad weather. Also great for remote work. We will for sure be back!

Have been there probably 5 times, different properties and not always staying the night, sometimes just for a walk, sometimes for lunch, sometimes for the beach or for forest walk.
Lilaste is for those who appreciate nature and don't want the pretentious wannabe posh style of Jurmala, but instead just to relax and feel nature and tranquility around you. And it's definitely cleaner than Jurmala.
Made a reservation quite late and in quite hurry, so did not pay attention to the details.
At the arrival I immediatly received an offer to room upgrade (in same price), as company who had booked rooms next to ours was not suitable for children (they simply were quite loud as had the little party).
There is no shop near by, but it is possible to buy some refreshments in hotel.
Staf was very attentive.
It is a small, nice, very friendly hotel situated in a lovely quiet place just about 20 min from the sea. Owners are exellent people who try to do their best for client`s comfort. you can order good food, use a fridge or a kettle. Or take a boat.
