Very nice city with lots of old and new features, really good old and new food. Public transport will take you loads of good places and the Bolt taxis are cheap.
If you're planning to stay longer either rent a car or take a train to other places (the country is really stunning!).

Vilnius is a nice city, but quiet and not busy at all.
Vilnius is a nice city, but quiet and not busy at all. I visited in February and it was cold (minus 8 degrees Celsius and snow daily). There are a few attractions, like the fortress on the hill (Gediminas Hill), Cathedral Square, Palace of the Dukes, Gedimino boulevard (a nice street with shops and beautiful buildings) and a few other nice places and narrow pedestrian streets. The main souvenir is amber (in all shapes and forms). The traditional dishes are cepelinai (potatoes stuffed with meat) and the cold beet soup (the pink soup), which are everywhere in all restaurant. The river is the border between the old and the new. North of the river the buildings are glass and steel and modern, south of the river you have the old city with the old buildings and streets. It's a nice city, worth visiting.

Vilnius is a fascinating city.
Vilnius is a fascinating city. Its old town centre is among the biggest and best-preserved in Europe, and there's a huge wealth of history and culture to discover. Lots of great places to eat and drink, and locals are invariably friendly (and very good at English). There's also lots of green space, which I guess would be great in summer (I was there in January). I've visited all three of the Baltic capitals and though I liked all of them, I'd probably say Vilnius is my favourite - not least because it doesn't get the crowds of cruise and ferry passengers who make Riga and Tallinn somewhat over-touristed.

Beautiful old town which is easy to walk around.
Beautiful old town which is easy to walk around. Lovely view from Gediminas Tower. We were there for the weekend of the Light Festival in January so there was lots of activity and things to do. Visiting the museum of occupation was bleak but fascinating to understand the story of this brave people

Vilnius is a city that truly shines during the Christmas...
Vilnius is a city that truly shines during the Christmas season. The Old Town is magnificently adorned with festive decorations, creating a magical atmosphere that is hard to resist. As you stroll through the charming streets, you can visit various churches and enjoy the beautiful sound of organ music, which adds to the city's enchanting ambiance.
The culinary scene in Vilnius is remarkable, offering a delightful mix of traditional Lithuanian dishes and international cuisine. Everything I tried was delicious, making it a true gastronomic adventure.
Wandering around the Old Town is a pleasure in itself, with cozy cafes and unique shops lining the streets, perfect for a leisurely afternoon. If you're in the mood for a more extensive shopping experience, there are also modern shopping centers nearby that cater to all your needs.
Overall, Vilnius is a wonderful destination that combines history, culture, and culinary delights, making it a must-visit, especially during the festive season.

Fantastic breakfast with a choice of both hot and cold food. The dishes were regularly refilled by attentive staff. Lovely breakfast area too. Bedroom was spacious and nicely furnished with a super comfortable bed. The hotel had the best location right in the heart of the old town. Loads of restaurants, cafes and bars close by however the hotel wasn’t noisy in the communal areas and outside noise didn’t reach our bedroom which looked out onto the street.
Great location in the city centre, close to the old town. Restaurants, coffee shops, and shops around the corner. Excellent WiFi, even if you need to send heavy files. Kettle, coffee, tea in the room. Shared microwave. Bus to airport and railways station just 10 minutes on foot. Really kind owner. And also you can leave your luggage before and after your check in and ckeck out.
Overall this was a very good hotel to stay at. The room was well presented, the bed was comfortable and the location was great. It's close to the train station, airport and the old town. The shower was very good as well as the bathroom in general. It's good value for money.
Great location. The hotel is located in the old town, next to the bus stop to the airport. The room is clean, the bed is comfortable. There is tea, coffee and a kettle in the room. The bathroom has soap, shampoo and hairdryer. Breakfast is delicious
We stayed over night so we wouldn't need to travel on the day of flight. We took public bus to the city centre on the eve and had breakfast at a reasonable price in the hotel. We walked to airport in 5min to catch out flight.
