Beautiful town surrounding by forests. Interesting small museums, like "Angel Museum", and "Baranauskas and Vienuolis memorial houses". Old town rich of nice old houses restored. Treetop Walking path is a lovely walk at the level of the treetop.

It's a small town with a beautiful church in the center. For those who like to move it is easy to get around Anykščiai by bike. A few of my favorite places which I recommend visiting are Puntukas stone and Laju treetop walking path. Also, climbing the tower of the Church of Apostle Evangelist St. Matthew in Anykščiai tower is a really good experience to look around Anykščiai from high.

It is one of the best small cities of Lithuania.
It is one of the best small cities of Lithuania. I love it here and come here every year, doesn't matter if for the festival Devilstone, or just to relax with my spouse. It would be bette if the price point wouldn't be the same as in Vilnius, bet still, I love it too much that just ignore it for the prices.

Small town with it's own charm, perfect for a stay for a couple of nights when weather is warmer - will not say anything about winter, as never been there then, but it may offer at least some skiing, not truly alpine experience, I presume, but still something. It maybe nothing too special, but you will have something to do - visit small museums of various kinds, enjoy nature views, just walk around or take a trip on narrow gauge railway to the nearby lake, explore outskirts of the town. I personally would recommend narrow gauge rail museum for those who in technical stuff, it is not too big but has thing to see and even try, and attraction nearby treetop path, which took me by surprise. It called "barefoot eco trail" and operating only in summer - even it is what it called - you simply walk barefoot through the forest by the path with various surfaces, and at some moment shallow waters of the small lake, I was surprised most by the bog section, it was unexpectedly fun, even peat mud and water was quite deep, and you emerge with mud covered feet and more if you weren't too aware of surroundings and selected wrong part of the path :), if you unsure better have your swimsuit on, or spare garments.

Very cosy, clean, comfortable apartment in the center of Anykščiai. There are some table games for families with children as well as some books in various languages for the smallest ones. The city park with some great playground, skatepark and rather beautiful landscape is just few minutes away (on foot) from the apartment. There is always some place to park your car in the yard. A grocery store, a restaurant with some dedicated space for children inside is also few minutes away. Very much recomended!
Great and cosy apartment , good location in the milde of a lovely town Anyksciai , everything was realy clean and theres an fountain outside so you can hear watter when windows are open liked that alot
