The location is wonderful, deep inside a valley, with stunning views. The hiking trails are well-maintained and excellent. The family lodges have a fully-functioning kitchen, so self-catering is definitely an option (though there are no nearby shops, so plan ahead).

The people are friendly and welcoming. Butha Buthe is a small town but the people are awesome. The night life was super perfect. It was perfect place to put up and it was easy for us to reach Afriski Mountain resort.

Everyone in butha buthe was friendly and welcoming. We posed everywhere for photos and vedios. It's just a lovely place to be. Though there are no shops😜 it's 70km from afriskii and 40km to maliba lodge.
