Grand Hotel with fantastic pool area and comfortable beds/rooms! Beautiful bathrooms with great, free toiletries.
Gym was well equipped.
Dinner and breakfast buffet was brilliant and had lots of options.
Safari was $155 for a couple, including a few pastries for breakfast.
Definitely take more water and it would have been better to have savoury options, as opposed to all sweet.

Breakfast spread was awesome, the aunties by the thosai and appam counters were lovely, happy to oblige all our requests. The pool was nice to chill at, and the staffs were amazing. One of them even randomly said - did you see the elephant?
We quickly followed him and saw "short tail" the resident elephant chomping away. The staffs stayed with us the whole time and kept us safe. One staff even followed us to the beach and the lake side to ensure tht we're safe
We missed the leopard sighting tho :(
we saw so many random animals at the resort while walking to the restaurant, beautiful views of water buffaloes, crocodiles and peacocks chilling together at the lake. truly a great experience
Yakaduru Yala is located on the buffer Zone of Yala National Park. It's just 5 minutes away from the Yala National Park Entrance.

The perfect place. ✨☀️
That staff is very kind, always tanking care of what we need. It was my birthday and they had a little happy birthday flute show to us when we arrived.
The food was perfect, tasty and they were careful with the chili aside. Very good breakfast.
The pool was clean and refreshing. The garden is very beautiful with the facilities to rest, and with birds singing.
We went for a little ride to the beach in the afternoon on the tuktuk and we were able to see some local animals, with all the explanation about them. And in the evening a Kottu dinner with a fire and tradicional dancing show, we loved it.

This place was paradise!
I didn’t want to leave! There was an elephant on the beach when we arrived for drinks the late afternoon which was so cool!
Food & Drinks 10/10 – this was a la carte, absolutely delicious… it was like dining at a top tier restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Hotel 10/10 – you are wowed everywhere you turned
Room/ plunge pool 9.5/10 – The pool had leaves and some dirt in it but it was clean enough and refreshing – big enough to do a few laps. The veranda area was comfortable, we spent a lot of time here. The bed… I didn’t want to get out, it was so comfortable! The entire space was clean, smelt like you are in a spa and we were able to hook up our phones to play some music. The mini bar option were exceptional.
Safari 10/10 – The safari was fantastic, with certified rangers who were very knowledgeable. They brought food and refreshments, and I think the other cars around us were jealous of our morning feast!
The Team 10/10 – I have no words, they were exceptional! To customise your stay I think they ensure they have a member of the team that speaks the guest language, they do take a picture of you with your country flag (just for staff information), as far as I am aware it’s not share externally, but I thought this was a cute touch. They were so accommodating, and made you feel safe at all times – the resort was in the reserve and its open to all animals, so you can see what Yala National Park has install for you! I will definitely go back.

We visited Yala for two days (with two separate game drives - one evening and one morning one) and although we enjoyed the animals we observed, we did not have any sightings of leopards despite being the national park with the highest concentration in the world. But that is nature so we were just unlucky on those days. However, the most disappointing aspect of Yala was the sheer number of vehicles allowed into the park at one time. As soon as elephants or leopards are sighted, drivers communicate among themselves and vehicles all rush to the scene creating a massive traffic jams. This makes it feel very mass market and doesn’t seem very respectful of the wildlife

Terrible time. No wild animals as expected.
Terrible time. No wild animals as expected. Roads are all around the jungle which is pretty disturbing to the wild life. After all it is supposed to be a protected zone for wild life. Jeeps are crawling every corner of the territory. Amused to see all of that disturbing scenes in a wild life protected zone. It's like business zone. Poor animals.

I loved Yala.
I loved Yala. The number of different animals seen was slightly disappointing but apparently wash outs due to rain prevented us from accessing some internal roads. The sunrise and scenery were stunning. I would rate it as good value despite the lack of animals. The whole experience was wonderful.

The national park in Yala is beautiful however it is hard to drive around as the roads are poorly maintained. There is a large populatin of birds and i think this safari would suit bird watchers more than those who want to see the elephants. The 6am -6pm safari is too long.
Sigiriya is far superior when it comes to large herds of elephants.

The hike in the nature reserve was amazing, we saw lots of amazing animals and landscapes.
Were lucky and we were able to meet the tiger as well.
It is important to note that the trip should take drinks and food, the hotel staff where we were did not tell us the length of the trip and did not make sure to let us know that we should take care of ourselves.
Of course we were smarter and brought with us the necessary equipment ..
But there were those next to us who did not and that was unfortunate

The beach, however, was too rough to swim which was a little disappointing.

Omg what an incredible man place to stay! Felt so special, the hotel has only 3 rooms so it felt very private. The staff was amazing and the food was incredible! We had such a great vegetable rice and curry and good breakfast. The rooms were wonderful!
They organise a safari to yala for us, and we saw a leopard, elepants, crocodiles, buffalos, innumerable birds! It was wonderful!
Very close to the Yala National Park and gives guests an experience of nature and wilderness. The special techniques to avoid mosquitoes, the experience of showing with the sound of bird singing, and the beautiful skies and stars altogether made our stay an unforgettable experience. Besides the staff there are very helpful. they know a lot about the nature and Yala.
This place is perfect if you want to do Yala safaris. We arranged ours through the hotel and was great fun and good value. The room was clean and comfortable with lovely views out across the surrounding countryside. The refreshing welcoming drinks were a great touch. There's an amazing restaurant 5 minutes walk called The Flavour.
Just the best hotel in Yala for sure. The pool is incredible in front of the rice fields.
You can also have a romantic dinner near the fire each night.
Good food, good service, good room !
It's an experience by itself and show the best of Sri Lanka and sri lankans.
