Good food, a huge pool, nice grounds, reasonably priced drinks, well maintained rooms. We had an excellent stay and were well looked after by all the staff from the moment Duminda welcomed us through to our departure. We will be back!

Poor staff service during our visit while it was raining Unfortunately, they did not provide any umbrellas, and the staff did not seem concerned about the situation. However, the property is in a fantastic location, and I would still recommend it for a visit. It’s worth noting that the Sri Lankan economy has been affected by political issues, which had a significant impact on the tourism industry. Many employees currently working in this sector are relatively new, which may explain some of the service shortcomings we experienced.

The best point is the location, which combines proximity to Colombo, with roughly 1.5 to 2 hour drive to the airport, with a fantastic clean beach location. Day trips to the likes of Bentota (for river cruise, water sports etc), or to Galle are feasible too. Wadduwa is also a proper town in its own right, with banks, shops, restaurants, pharmacies etc so you can get anything you need.

Wadduwa is good for a quick getaway to the beach.
Wadduwa is good for a quick getaway to the beach. Not as nice and good for sea-swimming as some of the rest of the South West coast of Sri Lanka, but it's good -- since it's so closeby to Colombo. Only about an hour tops from Colombo on either road. There are some nice villas by the beach with pools which is recommended, since the sea may not be safe for swimming where you are.

The House is magnificent and beautifully located on the beach. It's spotless and very comfortable (great slightly more firm pillows and a comfy bed which are big ones for me). The pool is GREAT as is the outside chill area. It's a really beautiful villa. Hasitha, the guy that was there to assist us was great - very helpful and respected out request for privacy. Communication in general was top notch. The view of the sea from the upper level is magnificent.
