The hotel layout and design is quite lovely. The family room was in fact a small 2-floor townhouse with a nice rooftop terrace. The seaside is spectacular - a natural array of rocks where waves can crash several meters high depending on the tide and weather. Staff have been very helpful and always super friendly. Breakfast buffet was excellent with many healthy choices. Beautiful pool areas and lots of nice corners to chill.

Angel Beach was a beautiful property! We only had the pleasure of staying for one night. Our room was very clean and spacious. We had access to the beach and pool but spent most of our time on the beachside lounge chairs. The food and drinks were extremely good (they even had a shisha bar!) and the staff were very accommodating!

Unawatuna is a bustling tourist town with many shops and restaurants. Because of its narrow streets and limited parking it is sometimes an interesting challenge to drive or walk through the town, but very worth the experience. Unawatuna is very close to Galle. Our last night, we drove to Galle, one of my favorite places, and dined at the Peddler’s Inn. Great food, especially the salad which they made with mango. The establishment does not serve alcohol.

I think this is a lovely beach with a charming Buddhist temple! There are a lot of shops however not many that were particularly nice, most were the same as other Sri Lankan beach areas.
The best Bar in the area is new, Jungle Kade which is owned by a Sri Lankan guy and his lovely English partner. Fabulous Drinks and bar food.

Very nice town by the beach, lively with many shops and restaurants. However, I cannot say I would recommend staying there. We experienced a nasty incident with local tuktuk drivers who heavily harrassed us while we were waiting for our taxi in the main road. We felt unsafe and even moved farther from the center to wait for our pick-up, however the drivers kept following and harrassing us. Moreover, when our driver arrived his vehicle was physically attacked by several drivers with us in it.
Unacceptable behaviour towards tourists, local authorities need to do something about this.

The hotel was perfectly located on the beach and very close to the Main Street of Unawatuna for all the restaurants.
The staff particularly Sunil and the head waiter (sorry didn’t get his name) were amazing nothing was too much trouble for them they looked after us from putting our towels on our sunbeds, decorating our bedroom, taking our washing to the laundry. Sunil even travelling on Christmas day an hour to Mirissa to bring and necklace I had left which I was so grateful for.
The restaurant was also really good situated on the beach.
The owners of this hotel are wonderful the staff are lovely and friendly, the rooms are spacious with very comfy beds and sofas. Wi-Fi is outstanding. Swimming pool huge. Omelettes are perfect and great coffee. Monkeys can be seen in the trees from the garden and the location is perfect it sits only a short walk from jungle beach which has a great restaurant and the beach is beautiful and the village on Unawatuna with loads of amazing beach restaurants and little shops.
This hotel is great. The pool is absolutely amazing, it offers a cool view, the water is heated and clean. The staff is nice and also the food in the restaurant is very good (but pricey for Sri Lanka). The room was nice too and the hotel is located close to the beach (you can clearly walk).
The hotel was the most expensive of our stay and was the most basic. However, the view and position right on the turtle beach was gorgeous. We were only there one night un the hotel part. The meal we had was ok. The Sri lanka breakfast was lovely though.
Staff were the most friendly people ever!! Breakfast was delicious. Perfect little spot away from the hustle & bustle of Unawatuna felt like Sri Lanka which the beach didn’t.
