I really loved the Samadhicentre. As I kept traveling, this is what I would recommend to others. The repurposed antiques make it a really special place, the owners are so open, and I had an aryuveda full body massage that was amazing. I was looking for introspection and rest and found it here.

A family managed small business and hosts were very accommodative. We booked both the rooms as a single room wasn't enough for 4 people as our stay was for 3 nights. Balcony view was breath taking an this is the highlight of the place which was overlooking Mahaweli river and Hunnasgiriya mountain. Sunrise was lovely to watch. Suvimal and his parents were ready assist anytime and made us very comfortable during our stay. Recommend Mahaweli View Inn to all travelers love a peaceful stay away from city buzz. from this place, you can reach to city center in 15 minutes by a car. Breakfast was lovely and Suvimal's mom cooked it for us for all three days. Hi Aunty, your food was delicious!!

Fantastic stay. Lucian and his team are so kind and helped us by organizing a couple of activities (hike, village tour, waterfall, coffee experience). All of them were super nice but special mention to the village tour/hike : a superb opportunity to walk around some of the most beautiful places I've ever seen and understand better the Sri Lankan village life. The room was spacious, clean with a perfect bathroom. Food was delicious and cheap. I truly recommend this stay to anyone willing to experience something a bit different in Sri Lanka, close to nature and the local people. (+ Wifi was really good if you are looking for a place to work from remote) Hopefully one day I will be able to welcome Lucian in Europe as well as he welcomed us in Sri Lanka.

GW in Kandy: Historical charm and a warm hospitality and courtesy, which made our stay very special. We were welcomed bij the host and his charming wife. Our host is very helpful and can logically be proud of his home where we stayed alone. There is a lot of attention from the staff - 3 smiling ladies- for detail and sincere care (unexpect cup of tea with treats bij the pool) and at the delicious Indian & SL dinner at a tastefully set table. We think back to you with a warm feeling. Thank you very much. Tip: *Cooking workshop possible on location, * in the evening with tuc tuc to the center (approx. 15 min.) for a bite to eat, * Play carrom board!!
