We stayed in several hotels on the island. And the best impression was left by this hotel. It is not big at all, but very cozy. There are good towels (it turns out that other hotels have problems with the quality of towels). There is hot water. And the rooms themselves are clean. Two hooligan cats live on the territory))))) As for the music, it is not loud and plays only until 10 p.m. The hotel also has a cafe with a chef who deserves a Michelin star 🫶. In the hotel and the cafe are done with style and very nice. Next time we will definitely come back here

It was 2 star Motel, not 4 star Hotel. The rooms well painted in dark blue many years ago and now looks old and not clean. It was very dark inside and there was no place to open the baggage.
The only good things to say are good localisation near the beach and good breakfast. Nothing more. Better to find nicer hotel.

A nice costal city with mixed culture. There are a lot places you can visit including religious and colonial-era attractions. Beaches around the city are some of the best beaches you can find in the world. The city is located around the world's largest natural harbor.

The property is in a good location. The surrounding areas are very nice.
The staff behaviour was somewhat similar to un-accommodating . Trying to be polite but no for every request.
The food spread for dinner buffet was very limited and also not so tasty. Not worth the money.
Overall not worth the money spent, though they said it was peak season but not seen the Hotel booked to the capacity. The prices were exorbitantly high.

Great beaches, we were well to the North end and it was a bit more developed with tourist facilities. The rest, including Dutch Bay were much less developed. Friendly people, high quality food (with prices to match but we got great food so were fine with it).

Activities like snorkeling or dolphin watching are too expensive for what you get. Prices for tourist activities are reaching the level of european countries. Use apps for tuktuk costs.

We stayed 6 nights at Trinco Blu and had a great stay. Very good hotel for relaxing at the beach in Trincomalee. Very friendly, attentive and service-minded staff. Highly recommend this hotel!
Beach chalet was very nice with direct access to the beach. Large room with all ammenities.
Breakfast was good with lots of options. Did not have dinner at hotel but there are many great restaurants on the beach and nearby streets.
Recommend Trinco Bay Diving Center 10 minutes down the beach for diving/snorkeling activities.
Our stay at French Garden Pragash Beach Hotel was absolutely delightful! The location is perfect—right by the beach, with stunning views. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. One of the most heartwarming parts of our stay was waking up each morning to find local dogs waiting for us right in front of our room. It was such a wonderful, unique experience that made us feel truly at home. A peaceful and charming place—can’t wait to come back!
Nice, Spacious and comfortable room. Good restaurant for dining. The staff was very helpful and provided with all necessary details for nearby tourist activities, helped with first aid kit when I got injured,etc. The hotel also has tie-ups with local tour guides and provide tour options at considerable rates and their tour guides are top quality and speak good English. Had a lot of fun thanks to Amaranthe.
