An incredible place to stay. The lodge is wonderful, beautifully and sustainably designed, and located just outside the magnificent, little visited Gal Oya national park. The rooms, all located in independent cottages, are gorgeous, the food is delicious and creative, and the staff is a delight. Stayed in a tent !! Well an air conditioned tent with a lovely bathroom, fridge , safe etc and a fantastic view onto the Lake!! Luxury camping !! All the staff were excellent, Mohan really went out of his way, bringing fresh tea/coffee at 6am as he gets up early !! The setting on the lake is lovely, with the very clean pool overlooking it. With only a couple of tents and rooms, it felt like your own private resort !! We used the Spa massage service and it was great and good value. They arranged a boat safari and a jeep safari, picked up from the hotel, we were the only boat on the lake and saw lots of of birds, crocodiles and elephants. Again we were the only jeep in the park !! again saw lots of birds, elephants, monkeys, deers etc. It is not commercial at all its like your own personal park Highly recommend staying here for a couple of nights, it was lovely !!!
