Honestly this was my favorite stay out of all my hotels during 3 weeks in Sri Lanka. The property is beautiful and the rooms very clean, well laid out and cozy. But the thing that really set Misthill Rest apart is the impeccable service. Nusha, Mr. Najvy and the entire team is just top notch. Mr. Najvy was extremely caring kind and very accommodating to my driver. Kader. I appreciate that so much.

The town is amazing. It seems that you are in England and the weather is similar too))) We had a dinner in a lovely place, named Themparadu. The breakfast we had in another place, also was good. People around are very friendly and polite. Definitely a place to return one day.

Nuwara Eliya is a very quaint town with well laid out roads and a typical colonial setting. It has some exceptional hotels and lots of bakeries and restaurants. Lots of places to see and a beauty to behold including walks around the lake, boating etc. For foreigners if you have the time you will easily enjoy 3 or more days at this place. For Sri Lankans - you have a gem of a place please enjoy.

Nuwara Eliya is beautiful.
Nuwara Eliya is beautiful. Lovely architecture and very atmospheric. We enjoyed the misty evenings and cool weather. It is a small town so 2 days was plenty of time to sightsee.
Do stay at The Grand Hotel, it is exquisite.
Tho mountain views, waterfalls, hikes, strawberry farms all added up to a beautiful trip. Highly recommend this part of Sri Lanka. Locals make jokes about how in these parts it feels like the colonial Europeans never left and indeed you can see why. It's a beautiful area.

The scenery was breath taking, the town itself is busy and bustling. Victoria Park was beautiful and well worth a visit. The highlight though was high tea at The Grand Hotel. Served in a lovely vintage room with so much atmosphere, we enjoyed the amazing food, tea and the attentive service.

The house was so nicely decorated! I felt in a fairytale! The rooms are really big and cosy and have all facilities. In nuwara eliya it can get cold sometimes but the shower has hot water and its very amazing. The hotel owner Heidi is such a lovely and friendly woman who really takes care of you! We had dinner at the hotel and it was honestly one of the best meals we had in Sri Lanka so far. The same could be said for the breakfast! We also went one day to horton plains very early and heidi made us a take away breakfast!
This place is absolutely brilliant. A little out of town, settled among the tea plants, the views are stunning, and the hotel itself is immaculate. The beds are so comfy (with duvets!), everything is spotlessly clean, and it’s I unbelievably peaceful. Small and perfectly managed, the people running amount View are delightful! We got caught in the rain, and they very kindly dried our stuff for us. I cannot fault it and would wholly recommend it to everyone staying in Nuwara Eliya.
This review is for a basic hotel and not luxury. For that it was quite good. Slept much better here than the higher standard hotel in Kandy (The Radh). Simple breakfast, simple bathroom, simple room, and uncomplicated service. Near restaurants and easily walkable into the centre. This hotel had the BEST chilli paste of ALL Sri Lanka, This alone is reason to stay here and travel to Nuwara Eliya!
Recently stayed at Nuwara eliya mountain view home stay and had a fantastic experience! The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The hotel's amenities exceeded my expectations, and the location was convenient for exploring the area. Overall, it was a delightful stay that I would highly recommend.
During our trip to Nuwara Eliya, we had a beautiful and comfortable room with a private balcony at the Edden Hill Hotel. the staff was kind and friendly. breakfast was delicious. The lake view is lovely.
