This is definitely the best hotel in Mirissa considering location, comfort and money. The staff was very polite, especially Dilshan. They provided us a parking lot and was helping with everything. The location is amazing. Just 5 minutes walking to the beach, but calm and quiet. The big supermarket and most of the restaurants is within walking distance. The pool was always clean. I like it a lot.

A hotel direcly on the beach - this hotel has great location. It is directly on the beach, but still quite quiet (except Saturday party in the next door restaurant). We stayed in the ground floor which was great to just to walk directly to swim in the sea.
There is a little fridge and kettle in the room and an AC.
The breakfast was very good, we could choose everyday different option from the menu. We stayed once also for a lunch, and it was good.
They have sunbeds you can use as you like, enjoy the shadow from the trees and you have the option to get a juice or coffee (or food), but they don't push you to buy anything and you can lie there whole day.
You can pay by card for the accommodation.

I highly recommend the Sailors Mirissa Hotel for accommodation. It is located in the centre of Mirissa near several beaches. It takes ten minutes to get Cargill Food Cuty supermarket by walk. Two bus stations are located just opposite the central entrance to the Sailors Mirissa Hotel. Very beautiful view from the balcony to the Indian Ocean, palm trees and beaches. It takes just ten minutes by walk to reach popular Coconut Trees Hill, seven minutes - Turtle Beach and four minutes - the Parrot's Rock. Its host Mr. Kumara is very, very hospitable and warmly welcoming gentleman. The room is big with air conditioner, safe box, etc. You can easily reach Mirissa Harbour to watch whales and dolphins, Galle town and Fortress, Dondra Lighthouse and Sri Lankan the Southernmost point near it, temples with elephants. Very good!

Good but expensive (for Sri Lanka) tourist restaurants. We went in off season which was great due to lack of other tourists and had surprisingly good weather (it rained properly once for an hour in 6 days). Seas a bit rough. The whole coast is a bit same same, the highlights were not really that impressive but we had a good time regardless. Recommend coming in the off season, unless you like a place jam packed with Russians in the peak months (lots of locals doing eye rolls). Glad we didn't go Whale Watching - expensive and rough seas apparently.

We went out of season, had amazing weather other than our last day. A few things were closed but a lot was still open and running like the whale watching. Dont let off season put you off! Its quieter and we were glad of that as can imagine in high season things are busy!

Eating out can be expensive and caters to Western tastes. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find authentic Sri Lankan food, a real shame.
There are beautiful temples in the area, drop your smoothie bowl and experience the real Sri Lanka.

Mirissa is a great beach, currently the ocean is rough in April due to unusual weather patterns perhaps after Taiwan earthquake .
Fun beach where it totally comes alive from 4pm with restaurants row and in the mornings too could use the beach chairs swim while sipping a cocktail or have afternoon tea, currently only dip but for surf better. The food served with cocktails , wines alcohol and deserts are gourmet and delish and upto international standards.

-Nice common areas (restaurant on the rooftop and a small terrace on the first floor) to chill out/read books at the evening
-Staff is doing their best to make you feel comfortable (ie we were reading books at night in the common area, the staff member noticed us and brought anti-mosquito candles just for us)
-It’s not directly by the beach or in the centre (still within walking distance though), making it more cozy and calm than rest of Mirissa

While the rooms were average in size, they boasted comfortable and clean beds, along with well-maintained washrooms. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to nearby restaurants and cafes in the lane adds to its appeal, providing easy access to dining options. As a group of five girls, our stay was decent overall. It provided a satisfactory base for exploring the beach and its surroundings."
Probably one of the best experiences I’ve had with a hotel. A lot of love goes into this place. Location is perfect for Mirissa. Right next to a beach entrance but hidden away so you feel the quiet and safe. Perfect for solo travelers and couples. The rooms are well appointed and spotless. I kept extending my stay because I was so comfortable.

Location is incredible - right on the beach. Very close to Mirissa beach if you want some more excitement, and to fantastic restaurants (Zephyr in particular was great). Rooms fantastic, lovely food & cocktails in the hotel itself. Salt water pool was fab. Staff were generally lovely - organised an amazing snorkelling session for us where we got to swim with turtles.
We really had an amazing time in Mimoza Mirissa.
What we liked: everything was clean, there is a pool, you get a free coconut every day, beer is served, whale watching is super close, amazing beach is also close, hotel staff is super friendly and helpful.
Too bad we did not the chance to spend more nights since it was such a pleasure.
