This place could be great but :
There is a lack of maintenance/inspection and cleanliness.
I get that we are in the middle of the wildlife and having a few bugs in the room is normal but having 3 frogs is not something normal, having had a room inspection before our arrival would have been prevent this. Not mentioning the spiders and spider nets inside the bed mosquito net.
The bathroom was not clean, the floor was dirty and no shampoo/shower gel were present in the bathroom.
No food option available which is not convenient when there is nothing around where you can get food from.
The staff who received us doesn’t speak English, I am glad we came with our private driver who was translating.
This may have being great years ago but it’s not anymore.

The staff is wonderful. During our entire trip through Sri Lanka we haven't met any nicer people than here. Moreover, the food they offer you will not only fulfill your taste buds, it will also fill you for days to come. Lastly, they are in a brilliant location to provide safaris to Yala and are great at finding animals and explaining around the whole ecosystem.

Amazing clean home stay located in a peaceful village nearby a lake. Run by some really kind staff who are extremely accommodating! They are able to provide everything you need and cook tasty meals upon request. Also have options to see wild elephants, visit local village, or go on a boat ride. I injured my knee before arriving and they also took me to see a special Ayurvedic doctor. Would absolutely stay again!

The area is so peaceful. Its such a relaxing taste of Sri Lankan countryside and the road walk near the lake is tranquil and healing. The front garden is very nice and there is a little table where you can watch the sunset. The rooftop patio has a view of the lake. The staff are so nice and made us feel welcome and comfortable. The kottu was exceptional!! This is a great escape from the crowded villages and is perfect if you are visiting Yala National Park block 4&5. They packed us our breakfast nicely because we had to get up early for our safari.
