A beautiful tranquil retreat in a hideaway setting, with the most amazing quiet beach I have visited in Sri Lanka.
The retreat offers so many opportunities to relax and unwind from the daily yoga sessions which were an amazing way to start the day. We opted for the couples package which I highly recommend, the massages were the best we have experienced.
The restaurant staff were all so friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. A special mention to Wijay and his team and the chefs came out every day to make sure we were happy with their food.
Fabian was great company during our stay and Molly and Shae are always there with anything needed. We loved our fisherman's cottage and the rustic interior.
All in all we would definitely return and recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat.

The Darshana Beach Hotel is a true gem! The accommodation is beautifully designed, with a fantastic pool that invites you to relax. The location is ideal – just a short walk from the beach, situated in a quiet side street that ensures a peaceful stay.
The host was extremely friendly and always went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. A great bonus: local guides can be arranged through the hotel upon request, allowing us to explore the area with ease.
One of the highlights was the breakfast – an authentic Sri Lankan experience with lovingly prepared local specialties. The chef was very accommodating to our dietary restrictions and preferences, preparing fresh and delicious dinners for us every evening.
We had a wonderful stay and can highly recommend the Darshana Beach Hotel!

Our friends stayed at this hotel a year ago. This year we decided to move our parents here. After their stay, they had different reviews about this place. The first parents really liked it. Normal rooms, a comfortable pool, delicious breakfasts, the sea is 2 minutes away, really great view on the sea from balcony, monkeys occasionally looked in for breakfast. Host make many additional things for guests. My mother said that she love that place more than all another staying in Shri-Lanka (we get 4 different hotels with excellent reviews and much more expensive prices for our vacation and this one was the best for my mom and brother)

Nice welcome by the manager. The room was neat and beautiful. Great shower too. Had a super Sri Lankan breakfast in the garden. Very tasty. If we are in the area again in the future we will definitely come again. Thank you for the pleasant stay 🙏🏼

Very nice place, close to a beautiful and not to crowded beach. Very cosy sitting area and an open kitchen to use. The owner did make me feel very welcome and waited with cake and tea.

This cottage is a great find. The little house is perfect for a family or small group looking for somewhere comfortable with a bit of independence. Really well equipped, super attentive hosts and lovely decor. It feels safe, private and near to beach. A little drive from Bentota town but that’s a win for us.

Or a wonderful massage at the Aryuvedic center. Or take a boad safari at the Maduganga lake. The General Tsunami Photography Museum in Telwatta is a must see if you want to know more about this terrible event. From here a trip to the 'Ducht Fort' in Galle is also recommended. In short, Kosgoda is a beautiful place to start or end your Sri Lanka trip…
