Great clean hotel on a huge property in the middle of the jungle. Rooms are big and quiet. At night you hear jungle noises of all the animals. Great experience! The bathroom is outdoors, which is fantastic. The staff is exceptional and always at your service. The guy responsible for the pool is really friendly and there to help. Our first night the hotel didn't have a lot of guests so we had to order dinner a la carte. The dinner was good. The second night there were more people in the hotel and we could take the buffet dinner and breakfast. The buffet is exceptional. Both the dinner and breakfast. I don't think I have ever in my life had such a nice tasting buffet. Compliments to the cooks and staff. Our driver Rajith was also a great companion during our stay in Sri Lanka. The staff were amazing. Especially in the restaurant-they were kind, professional and so helpful. Especially with my children. No ask was too small. Reception was excellent and very helpful in arranging tour guides or drivers for us. I cannot say enough about how excellent the staff were. Property was gorgeous. Beautiful Christmas dinner. Excellent food in our 3 night stay.

I stayed at Lake Park Hotel for two nights, and it was a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The food was excellent, and the boat ride organized by the hotel was a highlight—well worth the money! This is a far better place to stay due to the quality of the resort than in Polonnaruwa. A guest could stay here for many days as the ground are huge and relaxing. Pool and spa are kept spotless by a dedicated person that has been doing ot proudly for over 21 years.

location is wonderful by lake - plenty of places to sit around pool and in beautiful garden leading to lake views and on terrace by restaurant (choice of sun or shade everywhere) - staff super helpful and friendly especially pool attendant and restaurant manager - great for us, but sad for hotel, we were one of only two couples on second night in this 80 room hotel - bungalow room was very elegant with delightful open air bathroom (although nowhere to sit outside) - this would be a great time to visit!!!!!!
The hotel has an amazing pool surrounded by nature and a very good view of the Lake.
We had two times the dinner and breakfast, which was very tasty.
The staff was also very friendly and did a good job.
The best thing at our visit was the „monkey menace“ in the evening and in the morning. You should find out by yourself:)
