Super tranquil experience, high up in the jungle.
The location was idyllic especially in the tropical rain.
We really enjoyed bird watching from the balcony, and the food at the cafe / breakfast.
Really accessible and the hosts were so helpful. Such a great escape!

The location is simply stunning. Views from the terrace, the pool and the room are incredible regardless of weather. Pool is in a garden setting where the tea bushes meet to edge of the garden. Food good and not unreasonable. Staff very attentive rooms simple and old world charm but all in keeping with the hotels age.

Stayed for 2 nights on the way to Colombo from Ella. We were very lucky as its a family business and the children were there helping out so they made out stay super fun and enjoyable - in particular a shout out to Binara, Nikini, Hiruna and Kavidu who were so friendly and accommodating to us. The view cannot be described... it is out of this world. Lots of water activities available and this can be arranged from the hotel. We had dinner at the hotel and this was also prepared by the family and was some of the best food we tasted in Sri Lanka (thank you for this).
We never made it to them because of Coronavirus. They asked us to pay in advance via bank transfer and it turns out we paid that and got charged again by booking.com. We contacted booking.com and they couldn’t help us. They completely conned us and we were asked to pay twice. Such a shame. We were so excited about going there.
