Hotel was in a good location to take advantage of the amazing views. Guests however with mobility issues would have problems. There are approximately 50 steep steps from roadside to reception and a further 50 steps down the pool. Also access lane from the main road to the hotel is incredibly steep and approximately 400 metres long but cars and Tuk Tuk do manage it. Staff were very helpful and professional.

I was there to take the train across the arches and to see waterfalls. Both were acomplished across a two day. There were plenty of places to eat and drink and also to stay.
I enjoyed the two nights that I was there, although I would not stay at the same place if I went back.

Ella offered many attractive shops of souvenirs art pieces and tea houses. There were also varied restaurants which we had enjoyed exploring the exotic flavors of Sri Lankan delicacies and also pizzas and pasta. To fully enjoy Ella, one should stay for 4-6 days or more walking around to explore.

I am Sri lankan and visited Ella as a child, its very touristy and gentrified now. Its still a beautiful and scenic location where you are able to hike into the mountains and experience the traditional village life. I do not recommend driving there. Its best to take a bus or a train.

Ella Town centre is good for a night out. Quite a bit of a walk to the 'attractions '. The train ride would have been nice. I missed out on this.
Some of the bigger restaurants like 'Oak Ray' provided suboptimal drinks for a costly price whereas smaller cafes provided much better options for a cheaper price.
Really liked the cafe 'Kiri Kopi'. 'Chill' restaurant was superb.
Would have been nice to have all the three wheelers parked in a designated spot rather than along the street. This could have given the town a better overall look and will ease the congestion.

We stayed one night and really liked it. The views are amazing, the room lovingly put together, a great bathroom and a really nice breakfast. Away from the somewhat busy and a little polluted centre of Ella, yet walking distance. Don't expect a luxury accommodation with everything perfect...there are building works going on around it. But if you like a bit of a more authentic stay and great value for money,I mean it is £19 for a family room, this is your place!
The room was so clean and well organized. The room was new with the all staff in it. There were some well thought details in the room like convertor first aid kit etc. The owner and his son Supun were so friendly and helpful. Hotel was located on the top of a hill with an amazing green mountain view. Traditional Sri Lankan breakfast served by the owner was so delicious. If you are going to visit Ella, Misty Peak View must be your place for staying.
Shining Green View is located high above the lovely town of Ella. Having a tasty breakfast on the rooftop area looking over the hills was a great way to start the day. The staff led by Ruban were always a delight, nothing was difficult and they assisted us in any way they could. I highly recommend this hotel and would love to have the opportunity to visit again.
Beautiful boutique hotel overlooking the hills of Ella. The room and balcony were stunning, food was excellent and service was faultless. Location is a little far from Ella (but short tuk tuk away) but you have little Adams peak and 9 Arches Bridge on your door step which are the primary attractions around Ella.
It was new experience for us to stay in a amazing views with wonderful service prompt efficient by the property owner. Recommended place in Ella if you want a luxury feeling with best effortabl price range. Love the service 💕💕💕💕
