The areas around Digana are quiet, residential and full of green fields and streams - a good choice if you're the type who wants a quiet peaceful holiday surrounded by nature. People are generally friendly and helpful with travellers. Useful to know a bit of Sinhala to get around by tuk-tuk.

The Albatross is a stunning property with beautiful, unobstructed views overlooking Victoria Dam. The room was clean and had everything we needed.
The food was superb, we enjoyed authentic Sri Lankan dishes for dinner and lighter sandwiches and omelettes for breakfast and lunch - both were 10/10! The chef catered to my vegetarian diet which was highly appreciated.
The hosts at the hotel were so kind and accommodating. We felt really well looked after and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
What did we like about the property ? The place hands down. What a place. We’ve been to many places, but this, it’s something different. It’s calm, quiet and beautiful at the same time. Hotel staff (Dinesh $ cooking lady) were great and the food, wowww, everything she cooked was so tasty. One of the best places to visit. We will definitely go back here again. Thank you.
