This cabin is perfect for anyone who wants peace and quiet, just the sounds of nature. It is in an isolated spot surrounded by forest and the owners tea plantation.It is approached by foot..a 10 min walk from the road. The host lives about 1km away.
Ravivinder, the host could not have been more helpful, arranging transport from Colombo, forset trip,(UNESCO rain forest...15 mins to the enterance by motor bike...dont miss it !) and even took me to the bus station. He brought his mothers food over which was very good.
There was a beautiful natural pool 2 mins walk from the cabin, deep enough for swimming.
I would really recommend the cabin for nature lovers who want to escape from everything for a few days.

My family had the best time in Forest Nest with Saman and his wife and child. His wife cooked the best meals for us; Saman leads two tours in the SINHARAJA forest . One is a night walk that is 3-4 hours long ! The other is a day tour that is 5-6 hours long . He helped my son tremendously and didn’t charge my son at all. His family is genuinely helpful and kind. Nothing is too much trouble and they are always there when we need them . Saman is also a bird guide who took my husband on two walks to spot birds. The cabin is well-appointed and has the best view in the area ! The shower is hot and there is a fan . We stayed two nights and this is certainly NOT enough .

We did not visit deniyaya village at all but the area close to the rainforest is beautiful...the great thing about it is that it has not yet become touristy so everything at the moment seems more local and real.
Not to expect too much from food,just simple local homemade

+ Simplicity is the tranquility and friendliness of the owners. Owner took us on a forest tour and showed us a lot of animals we'd never seen alone. The complete visit with the waterfalls was the most beautiful.

Close to Singharaja Rain forest.
Close to Singharaja Rain forest. You have also some good tourist spots which everyone can enjoy. Choice of restaurants is less. All are basic with nothing flashy. If you are depending on public transportation it is well connected to Galle and Matara from where we can get Highway buses to Colombo. Not developed as a tourist place

Fantastic location to visit and stay couple of days for relaxation. Visiting Sinharaja forest , Patna sliding rock , off road ride to sliding rock and Sinharaja entrance at mountain peak could be very exciting.

Fantastic place I have been many times. the property has a bridge to enter that is broken for months now. no way a vehicle can enter or go up to the ticket counter due to this. vehicles should be parked about few KM off the site. Sinharaja is a heavenly place.
Very friendly welcome from thisara and his family plus a welcome drink and snack. Amazing views of rice fields and rainforest . The room room was one of the cleanest one of our one week tour. WI-FI was really fast. Breakfast was great and better than some much more expensive hotels we stayed in. (And way more than we could eat.) Walkable distance for sinharaja rainforest main entrance about 5 minutes. Really better than the price suggests and we would highly recommend it. Would return anytime!
Amazing location right next to Sinharaja entrance gate. Our room was simple but comfortable and provided the perfect rainforest soundscape. We saw an incredible diversity of wildlife before even leaving the hotel and then also during the forest guided tours. The traditional cuisine was some of the best we had during our trip and staff were always happy to help!
This accommodation in the rain forest is beautiful! It's the perfect place to have a peaceful stay in the middle of the jungle. Karina, the host, takes great care of the place. There is a river in which you can swim, a Yoga place in the forest and the hotel team makes great food. We really enjoyed our time there and would definitely come back :)
Definantly the best food we had in all Sri Lanka, also the owner was very nice and super helpful with all our questions. The tour guide be booked through the hotel was awesome, he knew a lot about the forest and spotted animals we would have never even noticed. We really enjoyed our stay and would gladly come back.
Landed here as a result of cutting another unsatisfactory hotel stay short. Wish we'd booked here for several days. Gorgeous setting, fantastic cottage lodging on a rice paddy field. Kind, attentive family and excellent foods for breakfast and dinner. An excellent, convenient location to plan outings from as well.
