Location is excellent. Beware of inner rooms. Loud Aircon, smells. Avoid room 103. Despite high price of room, that does not get you away from the inner windowless rooms. Insist on a room with a balcony. We switched after first night and then could sleep.

The view from the rooom and room size is excellent. Staff were helpful (English can be limited but if you speak slowly and simply they comprehend).
The balcony is lovely in the mornings where you can hear the Puja from the Temple of the Tooth Relic.
Breaskfast is excellent and generous portions. Laundry provided by an outside service is fairly priced.
The morning lake access for exercise was really great and we saw many locals and made friends who were also exercising or said hello to the Fish Wallah.

The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the area. We were also able to check in early, which was a huge advantage. The restaurant staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making dining there a pleasant experience.
