We loved the location of the apartment almost in the centre of the rain forest. The huge patio was excellent for observing the birds and chilling. Also, the accommodation was basic but very clean.
The shops are 15 mins drive from the Amazon Villas going up and down the hills.
The car is rather essential.
All the atractions like mud and mineral baths, volcano, Pitons are right in the corner, no more than half an hour drive.

The location is 5 mins from the Soufriere bus terminal.
There is the market and also connections by boat to get you to the other beaches.
You get a feel for local living, as the neighbourhood is very authentic. Everyone's very friendly and talkative.
There is a small convenience shop opposite, so you can buy water, and other little goodies. During my stay, there was a party vibe, the neighbours played music and it was quite enjoyable to listen to.
The hens are roaming the street, so in the morning, there's no need for an alarm clock. It rained a few times during my stay. You can hear the rain a lot when inside, but that's island life
I had such a great experience, so different from European city life. Just embrace the differences.
Aunty Sonia was very helpful and organised a taxi for me so I could get to gros piton. The driver was pleasant, professional, and reasonably priced.

Being greeted by Glenda’s warm friendly welcome back was well received and her tireless effort to make our stay a great experience again was appreciated.
Due to the attention to cleanliness we had no issues with bugs especially mosquitoes. We felt safe in the property which is surrounded by kind , friendly and very helpful neighbours .
Due to its location it’s very quiet and peaceful ,yet only a 10 minute walk to the centre or a well stocked supermarket .
