Fond Doux is a beautiful eco resort, situated within the rainforest. The view from our cottage was breath-taking and it's gardens have the most lush and vibrant colours making it an absolute delight to walk through it. The pool area is also stunning with its 3 pools and a colonial style gazebo.
But the star of the show at Fond Doux is its staff. I must admit I've never come across such friendly, smiley, helpful and always incredibly happy people with such a contagious energy. From our lovely ladies from reception, to the staff in the restaurant (special mention to my little Disney Princess and her delicious cocktails!), all the maintenance and cleaning team within the grounds, the chap who did the chocolate tour, the lady making the delicious chocolate, the adorable gentleman by the gate and finally Rio, Coco and cinnamon. Having such lovely staff made our stay 10 times more special and it was an absolute pleasure to have met and spent a week with you all. I have no words to describe how amazing you all were!

The view from our bedroom was beautiful and we met some great people during our stay. The room itself was very spacious, with a large balcony, nicely decorated, had all the necessities, and the bed was very comfortable.

Lovely place to stay in Soufrière - beautiful view from the balcony too and a short walk to town. Would recommend the hotel arranged transfer from the airport as it was reasonable and also the driver planned a stop in a supermarket en route for us to buy groceries for our stay.

The location is 5 mins from the Soufriere bus terminal.
There is the market and also connections by boat to get you to the other beaches.
You get a feel for local living, as the neighbourhood is very authentic. Everyone's very friendly and talkative.
There is a small convenience shop opposite, so you can buy water, and other little goodies. During my stay, there was a party vibe, the neighbours played music and it was quite enjoyable to listen to.
The hens are roaming the street, so in the morning, there's no need for an alarm clock. It rained a few times during my stay. You can hear the rain a lot when inside, but that's island life
I had such a great experience, so different from European city life. Just embrace the differences.
Aunty Sonia was very helpful and organised a taxi for me so I could get to gros piton. The driver was pleasant, professional, and reasonably priced.
