Heaven Guesthouse, hotel in Pakse

Located in Pakse, 500 metres from International bus station KM 2, Heaven Guesthouse provides accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar.

The thing I liked the most was the welcoming landlady Tina who went up and beyond to make her guests feel at home and safe. Meanwhile running the whole kitchen and the frontdesk, organizing bus & taxi tickets, taking care of her guest seeing if everyone is ok. I stayed for one night only but it was one of the warmest welcoming place I had been since a long time. Breakfast was very nice also( it may take a little bit longer but keep in mind that she is doing all the preparations and serving) So just sit down and relax ☺️

Nakhone Champa Hotel, hotel in Pakse

Situated in Pakse, 200 metres from Champasak Historical Heritage Museum, Nakhone Champa Hotel features accommodation with a terrace, free private parking and a restaurant.

Clean , quiet ( in the basement rooms ) and pleasant staff. Turn left out of the hotel and left again : you are in the main market. Continue over from the market and you can walk along the banks of the Mekon , all the way to tourist central , if you choose. Great at sunset.

Pakse was not super interesting but the hotel - wow. The best staff, the room and hotel was so clean and comfortable. And the balcony and pool was brilliant. Best pillow I have for the last three months of travel.

Pakse is probably one of the most beautiful places with really incredible people. We rented a bike, it was safe for us there are not many cars on the road and the ones on scooter drive safely. We rented the scooter via the hotel, drove the waterfalls and all around Paske. The have a great market, really good . restaurants

Pakse is a small, dirty town without a clear center.

Pakse is a small, dirty town without a clear center. Few good restaurants, and few people speak English. You have to have a scooter to get anywhere. There are interesting places in the area but not many of them are properly developed. Rather, their best years are behind them. On my next visit to Pakse would like to avoid Pakse city.

Unfortunately I was only in Pakse for 1 night. The city has lots to do and lots to offer, however isn’t the most aesthetically pleasing. Many come here to do the Pakse loop which is supposed to be great.

Pakse is slow and peaceful that is suitable for those who want to have a travel with slow-paced. Sitting and chilling on the banks of Mekong river where is the border between Laos and Thailand. You could feel the great of nature.

I have been to Pakse a number of times, it backs onto the majestic Mekong River. I can thoroughly recommend both the Champasak Grand Hotel and the Pakse Hotel. There is a lovely market located in the centre of the town where you can buy nearly anything.

Decent restaurants and good to get convenience items, but not much to do directly in the town. Good hub for day-trips via motorcycle or tour, but expect to get really dirty if you do them via motorcycle as only the very largest of the main roads are paved outside of the town. Not much nature nearby, all flat areas have been cleared and converted to farmland. It takes a bit of work to get to areas with a bit of nature, but it's nice once you do so. Once you're out of the town the small villages vary from somewhat picturesque and mostly traditional to modern cement. Definitely worth exploring the countryside via motorcycle. Waterfalls are nice, but can be a bit crowded (by local standards).
