The place is beautiful! It’s right on the river, beautiful plants everywhere, and the bungalows are picture worthy. In fact, you will be taking a lot of pictures. It’s a great place to read a book by the river and relax.

We stayed in the Executive Suite which was extremely well decorated with 2 rooms, a large tub, and a double shower and two bathrooms.
The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and gourmet with many options including some unique western items such as peanut butter and bananas on toast, overnight oats with chia seeds, and avocado toast. We enjoyed taking the bikes on a rides through the historic district. While we were there it was too cold to swim but the pool looks inviting.

A beautifully preserved old town in SE Asia.
A beautifully preserved old town in SE Asia. Lovely to walk around, beautiful architecture to look at and just a general chill experience. Don't bother with the fancy restaurants, eat their street food and walk around, you will have a great couple of days.

I really loved my stay in Luang Prabang.
I really loved my stay in Luang Prabang. I found it to be a beautiful location with a lot to offer. I would strongly recommend a visit there. The location was great and many hours could be spent watching life on the Mekong. I felt safe there and I was often walking on my own both day and in the early evening. People and food very enjoyable. Most attractions around Luang Prabang could be accessed walking.

You have to see the waterfalls otherwise most attractions are in town and easily walkable. Take a sunset cruise on the Mekong, climb Mt Phousi, and if you can’t sleep get up for the alms giving at 5.30am although frankly the monks seem very entitled. Night Market is buzzing for food, clothes, souvenirs with many surrounding bars and restaurants. Best tourist town in Laos and the only one that makes use of the Mekong.

Luang Prabang offered the perfect 4-day family vacation for our three generations, from our 91-year-old to our 11-year-old. We started each day with a delicious breakfast on the beautiful terrace of the Belle Rive Hotel, which was the highlight of our mornings, offering stunning views and a relaxing atmosphere. We explored the Old Town on foot, and when the distance got too much, we easily hopped on a Tuk Tuk. One of the trip's highlights was a full-day excursion to the breathtaking Kuang Si waterfall, followed by a visit to the Buffalo Dairy farm and a chance to explore the surrounding area. It was a wonderful mix of relaxation, culture, and adventure, and we truly enjoyed our time in Luang Prabang.

Luang Prabang, is a very interesting and pleasant place to stay. Don't be out off by the mass morning influx of minibuses for budget tourists from China. Which tends to block the roads and alleys. They all move on quite quickly.
Don't miss the Buffalo dairy. A very impressive, enjoyable and worth while place to visit, especially if you have children.

It does live up to its name: a dream boutique hotel with a South East Asian ambiance, my room is on the second floor above the restaurant, from my balcony, there is a beautiful view of the river. Staff are friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet is also delicious with a variety of choices. It’s a bit off centre Luang Prabang, but they have shuttle bus quite frequently during the day. I tried to walk back from the night market one day, it took me about 23mins.
Elephant Boutique Hotel is our favourite choice of place to stay in Luang Prabang. It’s very clean and has great showers. Breakfast is good too. Your hosts Rose and Huan are very inviting and go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. They are very helpful in suggesting tours etc and can book them directly from the hotel. The street markets are in walking distance and you are so close to everything but you don’t hear any noise from your room.
The hotel exceeded our expectations multiple times. The moment you step in you feel back in time. It is constructed and taken care of with such soul and love. The house is full of antique pieces and designed to keep heritage of Luang Prabang.
Located 10 mins walk from the very center of the town far from noise still very near.
Special thanks to Milo and all the personnel for hospitality.
