The location overlooking the river is great. My room had a deck that was perfect to witness the sunrise over the river.
The restaurant is a deck that is also near the river and is lit in a lovely manner each night

Very good boutique hotel at Don Daeng island with its own transport from and to main land. Perfect location to enjoy the sunset on the south of Laos. The restaurant in the hotel offers good variety of dishes and the chef is very flexionad would make an effort to please your needs if any customization required. We stayed in the Ban Lao suit, a traditional house Lao style room, very comfy and well distributed. The bar offers extensive quantity of drinks and well prepared. There are bikes available for customer at free cost. All these good things are only improved by the personalized and charm treatment from the staff.

The roads in Champasak are very bad with massive pot holes, I recommend to hire a 4wd. Pakse has lots of markets to look at and there are some beautiful waterfall to look at just 1-2 hours drive. The Mekong river is amazing to look at also. I highly recommend going to the Vat Phou.

An amazing Champasak Spa.
An amazing Champasak Spa. Only a few streets , 2 ATM only, neither work, so make sure you arrive with enough cash on hand for meals and accommodations , and no market to pick up fresh fruit or veggies soft drinks and beer available at all little store fronts. Air was thick with smoke from field and garbage burning.

A very very quiet place with not a lot to do outside of seeing vat thong and cycling around.
However, if you just want to chill for a few days it is a perfect place as it is quiet and the folks are friendly. Local restaurants Home Made and Check in are excellent value. One note: We cut our trip short here due to the smoke. We did not realize that southern Laos is covered in a haze of smoke from burning rice fields through late February to mid april. Not a time to travel here as the "pristine clear air" is no where here at this time.

Like the small town of Champasak, this is truly a place to relax. Located next to the Mekong, it is perfect to sit outside on your balcony to watch the sunrise or listen to the crickets at night. Rooms are basic, but very clean.
There are some nice restaurants and basic shops on walking distance. You can also rent bikes here, for instance to cycle to Vat Phou.
Host Gilbert was very helpful and helped us out with getting to our next destination.
A fantastic hotel with a magnificent landscape view. Our room overlooked the mighty Mekong River. We took in the sunrise and sunset over the Mekong. The staff was extremely courteous.
We enjoyed the boat ride across the Mekong river. it was breathtakingly beautiful.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the hotel manager, Aaitui Sengmany, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.
Breakfast was very nice and generous options. Dinner was very nice too especially the bbq which we had in our own private space. Staff we exceptional and very friendly and kind. Manager was an absolute delight and went over and above to make sure we had the best time.
