Great location. Room with a balcony overlooking the river
Room was basic but had everything you needed. Shower with hot water, comfortable beds. Gabriel ( the owner) was on hand to answer any questions and was able to give advice on best areas to visit. He also booked us a boat and kayak so we could get to do the tours ourselves at a good price. Good value for money and would recommend
Pennys place up the road was also good for food and coffee

While it seems from the publicity that Muang Ngoi is for young people interested in adventure activities, the remoteness and peace is attractive for older people too. We are in our 70s and while the accommodation we chose was a bit basic for a longer stay, a day or two was just right for us. We met young women in their mid-20s who loved the jungle trekking.
