Abai Inn staff were exceptionally kind, friendly and very helpful during my stay. The first room I was given had a problem with the air conditioning and I was immediately provided with a new room. Housekeeping was excellent and reception desk staff always available to answer questions. It was a good location, with nearby restaurants, coffeeshops and within walking distance to my work destination. Laundry service was fast.

This was my fourth trip to Taraz, and I feel more familiar with the surroundings/attractions. It is a peaceful, family-friendly modern city in southern Kazakhstan. There are a handful of historical attractions, and there is much construction/renovation within the city indicating they are growing.

Taraz seems a very interesting town, and I liked it vastly more than Almaty, the only other place where I spent time in Kazakhstan. Everyone we encountered there was extremely friendly, in contrast to the brusqueness I felt in Almaty.
