Very helpful and kind host, accommodated storing our bags for 12 hours on day of check out.
We (3 people) stayed in a private bunk bed room and each bunk is fully self contained with charging ports, shelf and a blind. There was enough space in the room for 3 large and 3 small cases and also storage lockers available.

Despite the weather and the fact that the restaurant we wanted to go closed at 6h30 pm, which was too early for our stomach, we had a great time in Lotte Resort, especially with the spa, the noraebang and the game zone located in the same building !

Our son has lived in Seoul for 9 years. He and his friends were surprised that we chose to go to Sokcho after our stay in Seoul and suggested Busan instead. Their main concern was that we would struggle with language in Sokcho as we only speak a little Korean.
It didn't turn out to be a problem at all! The local people were really friendly and were keen to speak to us in English to find out where we were from etc.to practice their English. Sokcho was brilliant offering both coast and the Seoraksan National Park. It was nice to get out of the city and spend 5 days there. We would definitely go again and spend longer there next time.

Nice clean Beaches with Clear water.
Ok for families, not much going on if you are single.
Stay 2 days. You can walk to most places in the town within half an hour. The streets are very flat with not many hills. The town is still developing there are several run down parts. Access by bus from Seoul takes about 2.5 hours.

Getting to Sokcho is pretty easy from Seoul.
Getting to Sokcho is pretty easy from Seoul. Perfect place for sea food lovers! Beaches are very clean. And all the places are accessible by public transport bus. Pizzalazza restaurant for pizzas, Lotteria for vegan burgers- highly recommended. Sokcho eye gives you a very beautiful view of the city. Naksansa temple is very beautiful. So is Seoraksan national park- treat for nature lovers, both are easily accessible by bus.

A popular gateway for visiting Seoraksan National Park.
A popular gateway for visiting Seoraksan National Park. Sokcho Tourist & Fishery Market is a large traditional market offering many local products (eg. fresh and dried seafood) and local street food. Convenient bus services operate within Sokcho and out of Sokcho. There is a beach at the southern end of the city. We saw several new high rise buildings under construction indicating further expansion of the city in the near future.

I really like to visit seoraksan national park for mount hiking.
I visited Sokcho fish market and had King crab.
Bus 7 and 7-1 go to Sokcho express bus terminal/ Sokcho intercity bus terminal/ Sokcho seafood market.
I used to stay resort before. It is nice and good scenery but I had to use taxi all the time. I stayed near Sokcho express bus terminal/Sokcho beach this time, it save lots of transportation cost, so I enjoyed king crab.

Sokcho is a great city.
Sokcho is a great city. It is close to the national park, and the park is exceptional. The beach is nice. Public transit is clean and efficient. Taxis are readily available and clean/safe. Restaurants, cafes and market food options are unlimited.
The is a not springs foot bath in Sockcho that I have never experience elsewhere and is a great stop. We could have spent a week in the National Park on trails.
This was the most delightful stay. Yu and the staff were so kind, warm and welcoming that we felt so lucky to be staying with them.
The space is so relaxing and the music played in the lobby is so nice and comforting. The breakfast was lovely and such a calming way to start the day.
The room is comfy and all the facilities allow for a great stay. We even extended 1 more night.
The information given when we arrived was move than enough for a really amazing time around Sokcho and Seoraksan national park.
This is an absolutely delightful hostel, located near the Sokcho coast, at walking distance from the intercity bus terminal. The rooms are basic but clean.
The kitchen has a very soothing ambience. I liked the breakfast, especially the homemade strawberry jam.
Judith is an absolute gem. She gives the best travel and hiking tips to all the guests. She didn't charge me for my laundry, so thanks a lot!
I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone traveling in Sokcho.
The bustation really is close to the hotel and you can reach the national park via bus within a few minutes. If you arrive in Sokcho late in the evening you'll have to take a taxi to the hotel though, since the last bus towards the hotel leaves around 7:45 pm. But its not expensive. The hotel owner is really nice and the rooms are comfortable, we enjoyed our stay there!
Re-branded hotel near the shore of Sokcho.
The rooms are huge including a mini kitchen, a washing machine and everything necessary - + a balcony with a sea view.
There is a konbini on the ground floor if necessary.
Very easy to get to from the bus terminal. Spotlessly clean. Super view. Really close to the beach and the Sokchoeye. Really lovely spot. I was sorry I wasn’t there longer.
