One of our best place to stay in South Korea. The beds were incredibly comfy, the room was quite large, and we slept really really well.
The place is super well located to take the bus and go visit the Seoraksan National Park or the beach.

We would definitely recommend staying at this hotel. We only stayed for one night but everything was great. The hotel is very new and has everything you could wish for. It is very clean and everything works perfectly.
The host is an extremely helpful and friendly man, he allowed us to drop off our bags prior to our check-in time so we could go hiking. Also when we couldn't get a taxi/uber when we wanted to leave he personally dropped us off at the bus station. Exceptional service!

Great place with so much to do, from a beautiful temple on a cliff overlooking the sea in a nearby town to the most stunning national park in South Korea, along with beaches and great food. The only downside is the lack of nightlife, as everything closes early, with dinner time before 8 pm.

Our son has lived in Seoul for 9 years. He and his friends were surprised that we chose to go to Sokcho after our stay in Seoul and suggested Busan instead. Their main concern was that we would struggle with language in Sokcho as we only speak a little Korean.
It didn't turn out to be a problem at all! The local people were really friendly and were keen to speak to us in English to find out where we were from etc.to practice their English. Sokcho was brilliant offering both coast and the Seoraksan National Park. It was nice to get out of the city and spend 5 days there. We would definitely go again and spend longer there next time.

Ok for families, not much going on if you are single.
Stay 2 days.You can walk to most places in the town within half an hour. The streets are very flat with not many hills. The town is still developing there are several run down parts. Access by bus from Seoul takes about 2.5 hours.

Getting to Sokcho is pretty easy from Seoul.
Getting to Sokcho is pretty easy from Seoul. Perfect place for sea food lovers! Beaches are very clean. And all the places are accessible by public transport bus. Pizzalazza restaurant for pizzas, Lotteria for vegan burgers- highly recommended. Sokcho eye gives you a very beautiful view of the city. Naksansa temple is very beautiful. So is Seoraksan national park- treat for nature lovers, both are easily accessible by bus.

A popular gateway for visiting Seoraksan National Park. Sokcho Tourist & Fishery Market is a large traditional market offering many local products (eg. fresh and dried seafood) and local street food. Convenient bus services operate within Sokcho and out of Sokcho. There is a beach at the southern end of the city. We saw several new high rise buildings under construction indicating further expansion of the city in the near future.

I really like to visit seoraksan national park for mount hiking.
I visited Sokcho fish market and had King crab.
Bus 7 and 7-1 go to Sokcho express bus terminal/ Sokcho intercity bus terminal/ Sokcho seafood market.
I used to stay resort before. It is nice and good scenery but I had to use taxi all the time. I stayed near Sokcho express bus terminal/Sokcho beach this time, it save lots of transportation cost, so I enjoyed king crab.

What a beautiful place to stay! My room (spacious, welcoming, very modern and with a great bathroom) and a balcony overlooking the sea. The hotel is in a magical spot, not in the centre of Sokcho (but I had been there before, I wanted to explore the area) and you can really get an authentic experience with the atmosphere and the food. The convenience store inside the hotel is not a rarity in Korea, but I am still not used to it, I think it's so cool and convenient :) Super recommend if you want to visit the Daepo Port area.
Spotless rooms for a very good price. Free shampoo, noodles, breakfast and coffee. The area is a bit run down with lots of empty hotels, no clue why, but that doesn’t make it feel unsafe. The owners great and does his best to make you feel comfortable. There’s a direct bus going to the park. We chose to walk back from the park which took 40min. You can also stay in Sokcho, but we liked the calm vibe outside of the chaotic city and close to the park.
Very nice hotel very well located close to outher Seorak National Park, 20min to the city of Sokcho. We really enjoyed the quiteness at this place, really good to relax and enjoy nature. Perfect Breakfast served! The rooms are alle different size apartments perfect for families but also for group travelling. We really enjoyed our stay and will defenetly come back! Thanks

The hotel is nice and well maintained. Not everyone in the reception speaks English but still everyone made an effort to understand our needs.
The underground parking is very convenient and the hotel location is excellent close to the Sokcho market. The breakfast is very good.
I recently stayed at the HK Resort in Sokcho, which is conveniently located near the entrance to the Seoraksan National Park. The room was equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay: a full kitchen (gas stove, refrigerator, sink, and dishes), and a good bed in the bedroom. Everything was very clean.
There is a convenience store and a bus stop nearby.
