The view from the pool was initially why I booked this accommodation, and it did not disappoint! The facilities themselves were very new, clean and comfortable, the coffee was great to enjoy by the pool, and there is a free coffee farm tour that is offered every afternoon at 4:15 PM. I felt like staying in the dorm was a great bargain, and I was lucky enough to have the room to myself during my stay. This is a great spot to relax for a day or two by the pool, or as a base for day trips in the area!

Excellent opportunity for quiet and reflection, away from the city and in the peace of the jungle. The host was super accommodating (she gave me a ride into town on her scooter one day) and made delicious meals. Would definitely stay here again!

The accommodations are rustic but they provided all of the basics and the hammock on the front porch was perfect in the morning. The.host was very welcoming upon arrival and I enjoyed being around the familial style environment. Views were spectacular all around and they offer free tuk tuk service into town.

I had a fantastic stay at Manel’s Guesthouse! It was everything that I look for as a solo traveler. Manel and his family were very welcoming, the rooms were simple and clean and had everything that I needed. They were a great value for the money! They had a restaurant on the property that served breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the food was delicious for very reasonable prices. Manel speaks excellent English and had lots of good advice for tours and booking buses to your next destination. Manel always went out of his way to anticipate guests needs, like offering to allow me to store my big bag when going for an overnight trek. I felt very safe staying at this property, and met lots of other solo travelers!

Only stayed one night after jungle trek as conveniently located close to bus pickup points in town. Excellent value - room was clean and spacious. Very comfortable after 2 days of wet jungle trekking.
