I love Rene and his staff! They make the best food!! Everyth8ng was so delicious, I hated to leave just for that alone! The rooms were comfortable and cool with the AC, and they were very reasonable priced. Rene is so helpful with a tuktuk to get you where u want to go Luke the mangroves or to set up a trekking adventure. He is a wonderful host!

Thansur has everything going for it—location, hosts, the staff, etc. It is situated right on the Tatai river and provides such easy access to all the cool spots—mangroves, fishing village, Koh Kong Island, Tatai waterfalls.
We spent hours lazing in the lovely Tatai water and kayaking to one of the numerous spots along the river to swim, sun bathe, and generally be one with the nature.

This is a rough town, isolated from the rest of Cambodia by a long potholed road. The supply chain to Thailand is short and then the better infrastructure is available. There are good hotels and some excellent restaurants, which you must pay for. It was the rainy season the streets were we and muddy, the dogs are mouthy and the street lights exist but are unlit. Its four hours of hell to State highway 3. Dont believe google maps a road on the map is reportedly a red laterite mud slide for the whole journey. Take highwy 48 only.

We visited with a rented motorbike ( very old motorbikes proposed in the streets near the hotel ) the mangrove forest, the Tatai waterfall, the buddhist temple : it's not well organised for tourists, it gives the feeling you are not so welcomed. The beach is of course beautiful, with clear water. For diner the restaurants near the river are nice.
In the western corner of Cambodia, a resort with small wooden bungalows, a kind host, and delicious food awaited us to relieve the fatigue of the past days. Just steps away from the Gulf of Thailand, where we slept to the lullaby of the waves at night and woke up to the sea breeze in the morning. We spent a few wonderful days feeling young, wild, and free.
Swimming pool is at the centre of the hotel.
The location is good for looking around Koh Kong.
The staff was accommodating to my request of changing the room.
