Kdey and the team were sensational!!! We stayed in the treehouse. Even though it’s open air to a degree, there are fans inside and outside. It’s really fun. Jungle setting with giant butterflies. Right on the river with a beach and dock. Sensational food and drinks at the restaurant. Chilled and peaceful. Easily accessed by a short tuk tuk ride from Kampot. Amazing value. Oh, and did we say, incredible staff?! Resident tuk tuk driver is a legend! A great guide for the day.

This will be probably the only real and true review you may read about this place (except for a detailed one posted on google by a guy 8 months ago that unfortunately I just saw after being to the place). The whole place looks from outside an abandoned hotel direct from the movie The Shining!!!! All windows are kept shut, probably because the renovation was done on the cheap and they are hard to open and close. There is nothing to do around it. i was lead to believe it was in the middle of park for hiking - it’s not. My fault probably… so be aware. The only facilities are a big dining area and a jacuzzi outdoors. No comfortable garden furniture available to relax and enjoy the view. The bedroom was clean and renovated nicely so i spent most of the time there. The staff was helpful to my request of reducing my two night reservation for only one. Internet was really good and staff kind.

I had the pleasure of staying at Villa Romduol, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. The environment is wonderfully quiet and fresh, offering a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle.
The room was incredibly spacious, clean, and had a fresh atmosphere. The bedsheets were new, and the facilities were modern, making the stay very comfortable.
Although there wasn't a pool, the hotel offered cozy benches surrounded by greenery, which added to the tranquil environment.
While the location is a little bit away from the main crowd, requiring a 3-5 minute drive from the main road to reach, the serene view and green, clean surroundings more than made up for it. It was a perfect escape.
The staff were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and helpful. They were very informative, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

It is definitely worth staying longer, renting a motorbike and exploring the area, beautiful views, beautiful rice fields, I recommend visiting pepper farms and national parks, there are great street food stalls in town... beautiful salt plantations… Perfect city architecture

Transport around Kampot is easy and cheap, Pass app. has more range than Grab. Bokor NP is amazing. Pepper plantation is worth a visit. Go for a swim at Kep, and eat at the crab market. Visit Starbucks, you might hate the over marketed US rubbish but the building is great. The cooking class at Kampot Seafood and Pepper was gold. If you want to go somewhere don't use all the cascading marketing sites, find a tuk tuk driver that speaks your language and organise your own trip. TripAdvisor etc broker trips that have ridiculous costs.

Definitely take the time to visit Bokor Ntl park and its environs. A great combination of nature and history and culture all in a relatively tiny area. Also worthwhile to rent a Sea-Doo for an hour or so on the river...great way to self guide up and down the river. And don't miss out on the culinary scene in Kampot town...great restos and characters/personalities that manage them!

Quaint little laid back town with really nice French...
Quaint little laid back town with really nice French colonial architecture. The promenade on the riverside is beautifully lined with trees. A lot of nature and amazing views of the river and the hills. A nice short trip getaway from the hustle & bustle of Phnom Penh.
Day one - Spectacular sunset in front of the river while sipping a drink.
Day two - Enjoyed the tour I took of the pepper plantation, the cave, salt fields and Kep seaside. I ended the day with a sumptuous Portuguese dinner at Tertulia by the river. This place is a bit away from the center.
Day three - had a fun and educational Khmer cooking lessons at the Kampot Seafood & Pepper restaurant. The ladies over there were so sweet, nice and patient with me, trying to learn 3 courses. It was very well worth it.
I wish I stayed longer! Will definitely be back soon!

The food and drink at Sabay Beach were exceptional and were some of the best cocktails and food during our two weeks in Cambodia. Even if you're not staying as a guest, go for the food, drinks and the beautiful view of the river where we watched a gorgeous sunset. Muoy and her colleagues really took care of us, remembered our names every day, organised trips and Tuk tuks into town when needed. This is a beautiful stay if you want a riverside experience.
Really nice hotel, the rooms are really comfortable . The staff is beyond amazing, they helped us organise excursions, they ordered us tuk tuk when needed and the best part is that they organized a personal cooking session for us because we wanted to explore the Cambodian cuisine and they even printed out a certificate for cooking for us. They did everything to make the stay better . I highly recommend this hotel and its services
From the moment I arrived I was made feel so welcome. The Old Cinema is without question the best place I stayed in Cambodia. The hotel itself is so lovely but the staff and the atmosphere they create is just beautiful. If you get the opportunity to stay here do not hesitate.
