Wonderfull place, nice and quiet, cozy room, all the amenities you need, nothing fancy og flashy but makes you feel at home. All staff is very kind, sweet and helpfull, and generously helped me with both early check-in and late check-out..
The pool area is set in a lovely garden, where you can easily spend days, if you don’t want to plunge in the ocean (or when it is low tide).
Hope to come back.

Generally Watamu is a delightful place for a holiday.
Generally Watamu is a delightful place for a holiday. It was great to have a hot weather Christmas holiday. Mostly we ate at home because we had hired a private chef, but when we did eat out we found the local restaurant excellent. The pizzas at Mapango were some of the best I have ever had.

This was a treat stay and exceeded my expectation.
This was a treat stay and exceeded my expectation. Huge beds, air con and ceiling fans, enormous bathroom and a view of the ocean from the room. Staff always keen to ask how they can help. Breakfast had such a wide selection of food and unhurried time to enjoy it whilst looking out to the ocean. I highly recommend Hemmingways.

Interesting town, much to see, like the TAAF Snake Farm, where I was for a course, the Gede ruins and much more. Good infrastructure, which is not in all coastal towns in Kenya the case. The beach in front of Papa Remo is alone worth going there!

Watamu is beautiful , but unfortunately too touristical for me. Heavily overpriced for Kenya. People who like bust tourist spots will like it though... traditionally many Italians, if you want to avoid those, Watamu is also not your choice

Amazing hotel, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff. Just beautiful, like in the pictures. Decorated with an eye for detail and aesthetic.
Dinner exceeded our expectations, was extraordinary. Also the setting of the dinner was super nice and romantic, we really enjoyed just staying in the hotel and having dinner there. Manny, the owner of the hotel, also puts effort into having a chat with his guests, which we really appreciated and just made the whole experience more personal. Location was ideal for us as kitesurfers, not far from Geroda beach.
Visiwa is a lovely boutique family-run hotel in a great location. You can swim in their pool or walk down to the beach, or enjoy the views and sea breeze from one of their well placed cabanas. The rooms are basic but comfortable and well designed with fabulous views, air-con, a small fridge and a kettle. They also provide shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The food was good and the fruit salad was amazing! We will definitely be returning.
A fantastic location with a fantastic ocen-view overseeing Watamu Bay. Well-designed hotel, perfectly scaled for the space - providing 5-star feeling and service while staying small and personal. Spacious rooms with powerful AC and huge beds. Friendly staff - great seafood. Luxury stay!
I loved this hotel! While the Watamu beach wasn't great this hotel was a real gem. Lovely room and great breakfast. Nice and helpful staff. Good location. Highly recommended.
Hotel positioned on the best beach of the area - this is the real added value to get the final score
Resort full of green; second beach area very suggestive
